I'll being by saying that I'd typically rather stay by the pool than visit a waterpark but when in sun city you really must have a look at the valley of the waves. We were staying at the palace of the lost city and access to the valley of the waves was easy and a short walk down the royal... More

You have to see it to believe it, miles form the coast a man made beach. Plenty of room to sun bath you can swim a bit but the main idea is that you get swept off you feet by the waves. The is a siren that sounds about 5 minutes before the wave, you start to see water pouring... More

Enjoyed the rides on tubes, surfed the wave. Artificial grass on the slopes is dangerous as it's sloppy. The sand is quite rough on the feet as it's more gritty but it is manageable.

The only problem is lot of insects and flies that are very annoying. Its a shame they close at 5:30 PM. They... More

Brilliantly made and very colorful ambiance. The wave pool is awesome and the artificial beach provides the perfect set up. There are ample eating options available on the 'beach'; one must try the hot dogs available there.

My family and I visited The Valley of the Waves a while back and it still stands out as one of the highlights of our trip to South Africa. The scenery at the park is simply beautiful, and the water slides and wave pools are as fun as they could ever be! Whether you are planning on laying by the... More
