The Valley of Waves is the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon. When waves are not generated, a bobbing cycle is generated in a diamond pattern.  All Resort residents enter the park free of charge by presenting their resident cards. This is a great place for family entertainment, the wave pool being the major attraction (most parents watching from the shore!) Bring the sunscreen.

Very good water park, the artificial beach created looks very natural. Also as the name says valley of waves, in the water artificial sea waves are created which is also very real and people enjoy a lot on the holiday spot. Its in Sun City and very good.

I think timing was the issue. Had the best time with my 3 kids. Little one napped so beautifully whilst the others swam and swam. Weather was perfect, and the combination of sand and water was really relaxing.

Beautiful place to look at and great for the waves, lazy river and slides but unfortunately, we just didn't like the freezing water as it was like getting into iced water. Didn't like the coarse sand as painful to walk on. Good choice of fast food here even had dim sum. Lockers were available at a cost and towels could... More

Overcrowded, overpriced and filthy. They jam pack it full of people. It costs a fortune and there is litter everywhere. Like being at a public beach, but a public beach would have been cleaner and less crowded.

Spent some time at the valley but I'm still not sure why anyone would spend all that money to go to Pilansburg/Sun City to spend ALL their time in the valley. It is a great park with lots of water activities and a few small trails but with so much more to do in the area spending more than a... More

A great place to spend the day for the family. The artificial waves are amazing. Life guards and security are always vigilant.

So let down by the temperature of the water! We had high expectations but sadly it didn't deliver. Could not bear the chilled water. Its a real shame as this one aspect i.e. unheated pool water means that we will probably not return to Sun City. Its a big consideration when you have children who want to spend time in... More

Beautiful well taken care of property. Enjoyed the artificial waves. The only gripe I have is with the uncontrollable monkeys at closure time 16:30. They seem to take the closure whistle as an alarm to run amock stealing food items from unsuspecting kids and ladies...
