The Valley of Waves is the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon. When waves are not generated, a bobbing cycle is generated in a diamond pattern.  All Resort residents enter the park free of charge by presenting their resident cards. Day visitors pay an entrance fee to the park.

When this attraction opened it was world class. It is a mini Disney water world park but 20 years old. The operations are ok but getting tired. Staff are doing a job and not very involved or that friendly.. You are not allowed to bring in food but can get it in if you go through the entrance from the... More

It was interesting but found it to be more for the youngsters. The man-made waves were fascinating but be careful as the waves can very easily knock you off your feet.

The Valley of the waves was a very nice treat. I am not sure how busy it can get, but it was perfect when we were there. Not too busy. The water fun is excellent and quick moving. You can sit an relax. There are take-aways so you can get lunch and the bathrooms etc. were always clean. It is... More

Despite the intense heat this attraction was a big hit. It is very busy over weekends so go early if you want shade. Opens at 9am. The waves are amazing. Tube slides for older kids and adults are great fun. All ages are catered for. As one is not permitted to take food or drinks into the area, more variety... More

We had a wonderful day at the busy and popular Valley of the Waves during our stay in the area. We always go early and find a good spot near the tube rides on the lawn from where we can watch our daughter in the wave pool and also find that side less noisy as the music on the beach... More

Despite being very crowded as it was a weekend, we never waited more than 7mins for a water slide or the lazy river. The wave pool was amazing, better than any I have seen before. There are monkeys around the place which made it fun and exciting for kids not used to that sort of wildlife. Food venues were abundant... More

During my stay at SunCity, I was given complimentary access to the park. I really enjoyed my visit there as on the day I was staying there; a heatwave hit town. The rides were incredibly refreshing and I had a great time. The food and drink shops looked a little sad, with some standing empty or just closed; but I... More

Since its inception, The Valley of Waves has always been a big attraction to all visitors to Sun City. When we were there in December it was extremely full - from the time it opened till closing time - as a result we did not spend much time there.

We enjoyed the Valley of the Waves on two consecutive weekdays. The place was deserted and we had no problems finding a place to sit or gaining access to the rides. The waterpark would have been something to behold when it was first opened and while it still excites and thrills it doesn't really compete when compared to the variety... More
