Pilanesberg Game Reserve needs urgent attention to its tar roads, or should I say what is left of some tar roads. a lot of animals; elephants, lions, a few african wild dogs (very rare). Rhino (white). It is fantastic to drive around. The landscape is so beautiful. In weekends there are a lot of visitors (it is not far from Pretoria) During weekdays it is quiet. There is a good visitor's centre, with a restaurant. regards schliek. More

We enjoyed our self-drive safari in this big park. It was a rainy day so we only saw one of the big five - a lone rhino. But we also saw giraffe, ostrich, hippos, zebra, jackals and many different birds. Worth the trip. More

We took an early Saturday morning tour to Pilanesberg. It was awesome to see the animals in the wild. We were able see about three of the Big 5 during this visit.
