Spent 3 nights camping at Motswedi. Every camping site has it own kitchen and private bath room. All six sites have their own braai place and you can enjoy your own private view on the water hole. We did self-drive game viewing every day and saw many animals including rhino and buffalo .

Saw so many animals, they looked well fed and healthy. Spent 2 nights at the Lilydale rest camp, self-catering and will go back any day. Mistakenly took the road to the Treehouse - no entry sign should be more prominent.

This is the best of the best of game parks. The accommodation is excellent, so is the food in the restaurant. What was amazing is the abundance of game so close to the road & sort of tame because there are no predators in the park. The veld was lush after very good rains and a bird lover's paradise.

We stayed here twice on our road trip, and enjoyed both chalets. They were clean and well equipped, and the air-conditioning worked well. The units are rustic but modern and well-maintained. The self-drive game viewing we did was fantastic in the mornings and evenings - we saw a great deal of wildlife including many antelope, rhino and buffalo. We also... More

We didn't want to travel too far from Cape Town to be in the bush. We saw Mokala reviewed in a travel magazine and having experienced many Sanparks destinations before we knew this would be a win. Where Mokala lacks in not having the three big cats it certainly makes up on the spectacular bush veld. As usual the accommodation... More

This reserve is a well-kept secret! There is an abundance of game and viewing opportunities are excellent, particularly in the Lilydale section. This is a Big 2 reserve but being able to view roan and sable antelopes more than compensates.

People visiting Nothern Cape, must come to Mokala. There are plenty of wild life to see; from birds to rhinos. Quiet spots to pass the night... If your lucky, like I was, you can see animals drinking in the lakes at dust.

3 days, 2 nights of excellent value for money, forming our halfway stop between St Francis Bay and Jhb. 2 bedroom unit in-front of the waterhole, close to an excellent dining facility with local dishes to please the whole family. The guided game drive focused on looking for Rhino at our request. Informative, fun and great weather for April. Our... More

While on a road trip to the western cape, we decided to stay at Mokala National Park, at the Lilydale Chalets rather than stay in town in Kimberely. It was a great stop. The chalets are your normal Sans Park fare. Basic but comfortable with a view across the Richie river. They can sleep 5, so the 4 of us... More
