This park is offering really everything: a lot of animals, nice views, good gravel roads, good facilities...It is a good variation if you have visited Kruger National Park before: the nature is so different...You can snorkel, combine it with a short rest on the beach or take one of the gravel roads to get very close to the animals (birds... If you visit this area, you must book a cruise on the estuary. The Hippos and abundant bird life are really great! More

The river can't reach the ocean any more.... But you can a wonderful sandy and wild beach, river with crocodiles and hypos, and a beautiful town, very touristic but still natural, with hypos walking at night on the streets. A day trip to cape Vidal and visit to Zulu village are extra bonus. More

This is the land of Hippos and crocodiles. And you will see them on the banks and in the water. At night Hippos wander through the town of St Lucia - i saw hippo grazing someone's front lawn - how's that for a fright when arriving back from a night out! And the estuary is great for birdlife too -... More

St Lucia Estuary is certainly a beautiful place. Birdlife and wildlife (crocks and hipos) is everywhere. Even the road from Matubatuba to St Lucia is beautiful… when the commercial tree plantations give way to the indigenous sub-tropic forests you cannot help but stare at the natural beauty. Do take a sunset boat cruise on the estuary! More

Although heavy rains , this was a highlight in our trip to South Africa. In our case we couldn't visit the lake by boat, because the cycloe Irena was so heavy. Instead we went to the north by car, direction of Cape Vidal and saw beatifull nature, animals and rough beaches. More
