This is great to explore! We took a trip on a small boat from "shoreline" ("shakabarker" is ok, too) with guide Dennis who knew all about hippos. Saw many of them very close whilst on our 90min-cruise. But no crocs. Instead, giant kingfisher, heron, storks. Great experience! There is complimentary tea and coffee only, so take a cooler box with... More

A hot enough day in winter to be able to go snorkelling. Pleasure to drive through the park and see some animals

A beautiful sandy beach on the Indian Ocean. We went horseback riding there and at the end saw a bunch of hippos. Amazing. You can also take a boat ride, but I think walking on the beach was fantastic. And in June, it's not too hot.

The boat trip was really interesting and we had a charming tour guide. We saw a lot of wild animals including hippos, crocodiles and many others. The only nasty thing was the blood sucking flies that fly around when you come close to the hippos.

Nicely Organised trip on the estuary, with Advantage Tours. Saw a lot of hippo and a few crocs. got very interesting facts. Tuckshop on board which is a lovely touch then at the end they presented us with a little photo pack of a photo they took of us when we arrived and for only R100 we got a personalised... More

Loved the boat-trip on the estuary but the guide could have made a big difference. He was a bit despondent and didn't engage with his full boat of guests much. Saw lots of birds, hippos & crocodiles... even a shark hunting. A must do!

Saint Lucia town is taken over by tourists and busy with hotels, shops, restaurants, tour operators for tourists. Very lively small town to stroll through. You have to make a boat cruises while there, the wetlands area is really nice with lots of birds and hippos/crocodiles. Other than that, we cant judge what else this town has to offer as... More
