We took an evening boat ride on the Saint Lucia Estuary and it was a great experience that we will never forget. We were able to see so many pods of hippos in their natural environment including a few baby hippos. The sunset over the estuary while we were out there and it make the night wonderful. We also were... More

This is such a fantastic way to spend the afternoon! If you are lucky you will see a bunch of hippos feeding, crocodiles sunning themselves and monkeys jumping around.

We did a boat ride on the estuary, and spent the whole time in total awe. It is beautiful and the sun was shining so it was even nicer. There are mangroves, and the water is both fresh and saltwater. Nile crocodiles, hippo and fantastic bird life, including Goliath heron, fish eagles and kingfishers were plentiful. Really worth taking time... More

Nice to observe nice wildlife from a small boat and see the hippo's and crocks. The guide Anthony knew and explained a lot.

We love the Estuary. We went though the board walk, mail beach, cape vidal and took the hippos and crock tour. Weather being sunny, clear and comfortable we enjoyed the greenery. The place has it's own charm and vibes. Hippos around and beaches are great, this place is a must for relaxing

We took a boat into the estuary, and spent a glorious three hours traveling amongst several families of Hippo, Nile Crocodile and amazing birdlife. We even came across a small herd of batchelor buffalo, and spotted several small deer in the mangroves. With game parks fringing the water way, it was a different experience to view the world from the... More

Its a good beach but you have to walk a lot to go to the sea. From the parking it a long walk to the sea bed

This sleepy country town on the Elephant Coast, where hippos roam the streets at night, makes an ideal base for visits not only to the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park (iiSimangoliso) but also to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi, which is less than an hours drive away. Both parks are stunning, although, compared to other parks in South Africa, the "dry side" of the... More

This was my first game drive river cruise and I loved it! It was relaxing & exciting at the same time. We saw hippos, gators, birds and an amazing sunset.

Well maintained, very clean and very beautiful. Roads are clearly marked. We saw quite a lot of wildlife, just roaming around freely. The Winter weather is great, it is nice and warm but not overly humid. There are a lot of restaurants and a few shopsnin town and thank goodness, not a Mall ...yet!
