What a nice place to relax and see hippos, crocs and birds. We did a boat cruise on the estuary and were lucky to see lots of hippos (including baby ones playing), crocodiles and a Goliath Heron very close (what a magnificent bird!)

We were able to take a boat ride down the estuary in late afternoon. This was a great time to spot the hippos who seemed to be waking up and getting ready to leave the water for night time wanders. We saw some beautiful birds too and one or two lazy crocs catching the last rays of sun.

Could have spent an entire day exploring this area. Not to be missed. Loved seeing hippos in the pond, zebras, and other wildlife.

We saw countless hippo, fish eagle, and many other birds. We even saw a croc sunning himself on the beach!

We had a nice outing but if you are going on a safari in the area this trip may not add much to your experience. Hippos and Crocs but you may see those elsewhere anyway.....

Sea can be a bit rough, watch out for the crocks as they hide in the long grass. There are lots of hippos. Did some great whale watching here worth it

Our boat trip to the Saint Lucia Estauary situated in World Heritage site, was fantastic. We were able to see Hippos, crocs, a wide variety of bird-life and lots more.... More

A 2-hr boat trip on the estuary was part of my booked itinerary and it was worth it. Many, many hippos, several crocs and different birds to see. The captain (a women - yeah!) was very knowledgeable of animals and estuary. Highly recommend.

Try and get onto one of the 'smaller boat' trips, as you will get much closer to Hippo's and Crocodiles. The estuary life is a big part of St Lucia. Take local advice and be careful.
