Had a lovely experience. One get so close to hipo and croc's and still feel safe. We sat on the upper deck and had a good view all around.

Yes we did it, we floated out gently gliding when our ferry came to a silent stop. We looked over and there for the first time in a couple of years we were told were two VERY LARGE crocs on a bank sunning themselves, with eyes wide open. They were in fact about 2 metres from the back of the... More

We took a late afternoon lake cruise and had the opportunity to see lots of hippo up close which was wonderful. The captain of the boat was knowledgeable and able to spot the wildlife and tell us lots of interesting information. I had not realised that hippos don't actually swim or how nocturnal they are. It became a bit of... More

An incredible experience! Be sure to stop here as this is a unique adventure! You will see a lot of hippos as well as water bucks, crocodiles! Its cool to see the family of hippos in the water, and hippos play-fighting! The guides are very informative and you will have a new respect for these animals!

We have booked the sunset cruise which was a great experience because the hippos are waking up and are very active. Plenty of crocodiles and birds were around, too. We got to see how the hippos lined up in the water to get on shore and were ready to walk all the way up to town. And it is true... More

We did the 2 hour cruise on a drizzly morning but thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the sightings. Our guide was full of interesting information and facts and we saw a good selection of birds as well as several groups of hippos and a few crocs. It was a very relaxed trip and we would definitely do it again.

The day we went it was drizzling and most of the hippos were sleeping in big pods but when you are on vacation and are in an area for a limited amount of time you have to do what you intend even if the weather isn't going to cooperate. It was a very nice ride down the river but on... More

We travelled down the river to view 3 pods of hippos in their natural environment. The Captain was incredibly knowledgable and referenced hippo facts along with the natural surroundings, wildlife in the area and even managed to find a croc in the long grass!

We did a small boat trip along the river run by Shorline walking and Boat Safaris leaving from the jetty below the bridge on the road which leads into town. The guide was excellent and we had great views of Hippo and Crocs together with birds.
