This is a small sanctuary that provides a safe haven and rehabilitation for chimpanzees that have stories of horrible past abuse. I was torn between tears and anger at hearing the stories of what people put them through and gratitude to Ms. Jane Goodall and the staff at Chimpanzee Eden for working to save them. There is a charge of... More

We loved the sanctuary opened by Dr. Jane Goodwin. What an amazing lady. We found the 1hr tour captivating and fascinating even as grown adults. Perfect for the little ones. They are very interactive and natural in their habitat. I could watch them all day. You cannot walk around by yourself because they actually hurl things over the fences I.e.... More

This review is not based on a visit to the venue as the extortionate admission costs prohibited us from going This must surely be one of the most expensive public attractions in the area. I understand that the upkeep of these primates must be costly but admission prices have to be kept within the reach of the average SA resident

This sanctuary is small but amazing - if you are in the area, you must go on a tour! You need to book but it is well worth it, Dr Goodall is a wonderful spokesperson for these chimps and other environmental issues. She will be in SA in Feb I believe. The guides are fantastic and so knowledgeable! It is... More

A 'must' for local and international tourists. I understand that the attraction was subject to some reorganisation a while back and is now fully functional. The tour is well organised, fun and educational (there is a bit of walking so take a pushchair for your toddler). During the day the primates are in open areas that are, as far as... More

Went to chimp Eden, very much like monkey world in Dorset England, however the staff are very knowledgeable about the chimps, they also all volunteer and don't get paid, nice to see people who do their jobs out of love

Great outing for all. The chimps really are almost human. Its just sad to see them in cages but all of them were rescued so its better I suppose.

I was recently blessed enough to visit this amazing centre. It was an experience I will never forget. Seeing these great apes from so close up it something I won't forget very soon. The staff are all so dedicated and it is great to know that Jane Goodall's legacy can live on through the centre. Worth a visit.

I had great time in the 10am tour. The monitor was very kind and had a great explanation of the project.
