A wonderful tranquil setting, great service from friendly staff, fascinating and informative tour and amazing chimps - all make the trip and experience so worthwhile. Allow at least 3 hours to really appreciate this wonderful sanctuary.

It was very interesting and the chimpanzees are lovely to watch. The guides are very knowledgeable. So very sad they have been treated so badly in the past

Suitable for young and old, very enjoyable and educating - my 3 year old still talking about the outing.

The tour is limited to two enclosures and consists of the guide discussing individual chimps as she feeds them titbits of fruit and runs through their truly tragic and awful pasts. the stories are horrific: from being tied outside nightclubs, beaten, mutilated and turned into alcaholics - it really is grim. Although we understood completely why it was important to... More

Fascinating to see the chimps - very good tour. The chimps are all personalities and our guide did an excellent job of telling their stories.

We went out of our way to visit the sanctuary partly because it seemed a worthwhile charity to support and partly because I wanted photos of chimps to paint from (I'm a hobby wildlife artist). I'm very glad we did - this sanctuary provides quality life-style for rescued chimps, some from truly horrendous circumstances. You can sponsor a chimp -... More

Great experience and stunning staff that know everything that you would expect them to know. even the curio lady was helpful with bizarre questions that some of the non-locals had. Fantastic job and fantastic team.

This is definitely worth the short drive out of town. It was so informative and a great experience learning about the chimps and their habitat. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made our experience even better.

We had a tour of an hour and a half during which we were introduced to all the rehabilitated chimps with a narrative of the history of the sanctuary and about chimps and their habits.

This facility offers a great education program to the public, as well as an opportunity to view the chimps in as natural an environment as can be achieved in an outdoor enclosure. I thought that the best part of the operation was the education component which occurred prior to actually visiting the chimps.
