I recently ebjoyed the experience of my life at the Lion Sands Kruger National Park - Tinga Lodge. To sit on the balcony, having a quiet drink before dinner and look at the wildlife grazing just meters away or indeed ,just across the river was a somewhat surreal experience. Then follow up with the Game drives. The morning wake up... More

We spent 7 days in Kruger. It was way short time. The wildlife is amazing. We did self drive and actually saw more. Then on the one park safari drive we did. We purchased the Wild Card ahead of time saves a lot of time and made the trip very easy.

Kruger Park is nothing less than breathtaking. I will never forget the animals I saw, living so free (zoos are so boring to me now!). One important thing: You must be patient, as animals won't show up all the time, you must look for them, sometimes you won't see anything the whole day... but when you do... it is unforgettable.... We did a full day game drive and were able to view the Big 5 in addition to countless other animals, including Rhinos, Giraffes and on and on. Our guide as great, able to spot animals at a distance and very knowledgeable. Go during the week if possible as it is open to the public (private cars) on the weekends... More

For those of you who want to create your own adventure and self drive, self cater a holiday in the Kruger National Park, the Bushveld Camps are a great way to go. Small and removed from the main roads, the Bush camps have private roads for guests only. The accommodations are wonderful cottages with living rooms and separate sleeping areas,... More

The Kruger is a wonderful experience no doubt and we enjoyed the park over all immensely. It was the highlight of our stay in South Africa. Unfortunately there were also moments which turned out to be the lowest points of our stay but these were few and far between. We did a self drive which is quite daring and has... More

I enjoyed my visit to the park 24 years ago and hoped it would still be as exciting and amazing to see the animals as I remembered it to be. IT WAS!!! We saw the Big 5 by 11 am each day we went in. I would suggest at least 2 days and maybe a night tour. We enjoyed the... More

The park has mostly paved roads. There are lots of tourists. In two days, we saw two lions and the guide was quite excited as they don't see lions very often. We saw no Rhinos as they are moving them out of the park do to poaching. The park is fine, but you won't see the volume of animals you... More

We chose a perfect overcast day to visit the park and were lucky enough to see rhino, elephant, giraffe, wild pigs, hyena, a cheetah and zebra. We spent the day driving through the park and only saw a small part of the park. We will drive to lower Sabie in our next visit as that is where the lions are.
