Wonderful to experience these beautiful animals up close, and to see how well they are cared for and looked after. A sanctuary indeed. In deed.

The visit starts off with a briefing on elephants, where they sleep, the anatomy and more. Then we get to meet the elephants in a one-on-one basis, touching and feeding them. You can also take them for a walk as well as ride on them.

As my wife is a lover of elephants, we went to this sanctuary to get a closer look at the life of elephants. We even got up close and personal and touched / walked and fed these beatutiful animals. My wife was in her element

Wonderful experience - our guide spent about 30 minutes with us explaining the anatomy of the elephants as well as the differences between the African and Asian elephants. We then went on to interact directly with the elephants including an elephant kiss. From there we walked the elephants and then ended off with a thank you by feeding them. The... More

We booked the 'Sundowner' experience, and were not disappointed. Our guide and the keepers were friendly and knowledgeable, and appear to care and respect the elephants greatly. The encounter includes an interesting educational element, meeting the elephants up close - the keepers 'guide' you round the elephant - the elephants were calm whilst we were examining them. Then we went... More

Several people on here have commented on how expensive the encounter is... I'll write this from the stand point of an American visiting. The value was unbelievable. In the US, an animal encounter like this would easily cost $150 per person (1200 rand). We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 boys ages 9 and 12. The adults... More

Learnt a lot about the elephants, rode and walked with them. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, who seemed to really enjoy their work, which made the experience extremely enjoyable. Great to get so close to such fantastic creatures.
