This is worth the visit. The third deepest canyon in the world is truly a stunning sight. Driving around the area to see the other nearby view points and beautiful landscape makes the whole trip even more worth it. Wear comfortable shoes.

South Africa has so much to offer in its varied beauty, we are continuously awed by the views. The levels of mountainous range, the lighting, the falls, the varied foliage at each site pending where you look, so much brilliance, it's breathtaking.

Take your picnic lunch so you can enjoy the area longer. Interesting land formation of holes in the rocks that water rushes through. It’s worth stopping to see. Take your picnic lunch so you can enjoy the area longer.

I discovered this place by accident in planning my last trip to Africa. It location is a little off the beaten track or tourist trail. The views of the Blyde River Canyon from the viewpoint on the R536 are breathtaking. It has to be seen to be believed. Words cannot describe the sheer scale of natural beauty so go and see it! And don't forget to support the lovely local inhabitants who are making a living by selling beautiful handmade curios by the car park.
