My husband and daughter enjoyed a fanastic morning at Sam's Shooters Emporiom, 2183 McCullough Bld. As Canadians, this is an interesting, entertaining, unique way to experience true American life. We walked in with another Canadian visitor and were meet by friendly, helpful, informed staff. They guided us, novice shooters, through the process, giving us education, safety tips, equipment and, of... More

Quiet in January, this area is a haven for Canadians to relax and soak up the sun. There are boat rentals, kayak rentals, lots of trails to walk and boat tours. It has a beautiful canal system under the London Bridge and beyond.

The snowbirds are everywhere! The population drastically increases in the winter as the RV'S spend part of the winter around the area. Lots of great places to eat and the entertainment is abundant.

The 5th Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival was fabulous! Perfect weather and the balloons were gorgeous...all 71 of them. Go to the balloon field early, by 6:30 a.m. and enjoy watching the specter of airing up these beauties... loved it. Wear warm clothes including gloves and don't forget your camera!

We prefer Lake Havasu when the crowds aren't there, so we rarely go on holiday weekends. But - the water is great for skiing and just boating. Once you get away from the channel and out on the lake, there are plenty of places to beach your boat and play in the water. Staying overnight can find us either camping... More

It is small enough to be homey, & large enough to have everything you need, except an airport! Being able to fly to Lake Havasu would be an extreme enhancement.

This city stretches for miles along Lake Havasu, which is formed by damming the Colorado River. The river is sluggish by this point, and the landscape is pretty flat and devoid of vegetation. You kind of have to like rocks and dirt to like it here. In the warmer months I imagine the lake is very busy with boats and... More

I actually came home from work and went to bed early since I could have been called into work at any time. You don't have to be named Dorothy to know there is no place like home. My kitties were happy I was home too. It was great! Maybe next year I'll go to a party.

All around town, in all shopping centers, restaurants, parks and activity centers, people over 60 trump the young crowd 5 to 1 during winter. The town is devoted to white and gray hair. Three types of dwellings and settlements, the first one being constituted of moderate to very expensive properties, the ultimate being a gated community built around a very... More

My husband and I loved our stay at the lake. There are many activities offered in and around the lake - something for everyone. In the off season it was lovely, but can be very busy during high season.
