This is just over 7km return taking just over an hour out and just less back. Another one of those wonderfully prepared trails in SA. Plenty of shade on a hot day & pools for swimming when you reach the waterfalls.

The trail was mostly walking on wooded paths. Took about 1 hour to get to the waterfall, no strenuous parts and easy walking. Lovely surroundings.

While Wilderness offers an excellent beach experience, it is also a must to go experience the National Park in the mountains. We did the Half-Collard Kingfisher Trail which goes 3,6 km through a foresty gorge and takes you to a waterfall that offers refreshing swims in the surrounding rock pools. The hike can be done in 3 hours, and offers... More

What an exceptional nature experience. The park is very clean. Personnel friendly, informed and proud. Awesome and breathtaking hiking trails especially to the waterfalls. Canoeing was so much fun. Beautiful nature scene from the river. This is something everybody should experience

The hiking trail is 7.2km through the woods and indigenous forest. It is very well maintained. It end at a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. Fun for the whole family.

A hike with steep climbs that follows the river. Constant wonderful views. Best with good boots. Not recommend for those wearing sandals or flip flops. But worth the effort. Allow at least 4 hours.

We went canoeing which was fun but difficult. Fun experiance! Then we went hiking, long walk but fun when we finally arrived at the water fall.

I ran up to the waterfall, so my experience of this beautiful gorge was rather accelerated. Nevertheless this activity was the highlight of my stay in Wilderness. The trail is 3.6km long, well marked has extensively long boardwalks and steps which makes the journey a lot easier and there are plenty of wonderful spots to rest. There is even a... More

The area is very pretty and most of the walk if boardwalked, so very easy going. Bring water, hat and a costume as you can swim at the waterfalls. During peak season it can be very busy, so go early. There is a entry fee pp at the gate. It was R35pp when we visited
