Ebb & Flow, Wilderness National Park, most stunning place in Wilderness. We love camping, canoeing, doing the trails, and just swimming in the river. The park is 3km from the village, and close to the beach. Grassy sites, lots of trees, chalets and the staff are friendly. Must visit.

We took two walks, the eastern one that crosses the river several times by hopping from stone to stone was a bit like "yes ,very green - but why put a one-way hiking trail here?" Not much to see, no great views. Can be done nearly anywhere else i´d say. The western one is nicer, but I think it´s better... More

Make sure you wear good shoes for your walk in the Wilderness National Park. We hiked for about two hours in search of a waterfall, but eventually gave up because there were a lot of steps and we knew we were going to have to walk all the way back, so we never saw it! We did, however, see beautiful... More

Wonderful trail, easily accessible from Wilderness. Once you cross the river on the pontoon, the trail get even better as the walk ascends up the side of the river, where at time your up at tree top level affording views over the valley, and great opportunity to see a wide variety of birds.

Wilderness national park covers a long stretch of beautiful nature reserve between George and Knysna. Ebb & flow, the local SanParks rest camp offers a great deal in forest huts, chalets and camping sites. The site has been there for over two decades and have only inproved with age. The campsites are arranged right next to the river in a... More

We recently camped at the Wilderness National Park at the Ebb and Flow section. The park is situated on the Touws River which makes the setting stunning. The park is well maintained and the ablutions spotless. Well worth a visit.

The park is very beautiful with the most awesome views. It is very peaceful and intriquing with a board-walk. I enjoyed my early morning walk in the park with the most fascinating sounds of the different animals.

I ran the pied kingfisher trail which is approx 10km. Generally well marked but it could be better especially once you get to the river mouth. Beautiful, peaceful and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery. Staff at the gate friendly!

The Nature Reserve is located directly of the N2 highway and well signposted. The Ebb and flow rest camp itself sits in the estuary and everything is green, a birders paradise. Unfortunately we arrived on a wet stormy day, so our activities were limited. We stayed in a cute little log cabin with 2 single beds. The views were great... More
