Entrance fee for day visitors isn't expensive by European standards and we felt it money well spent to walk the Kingfisher Trail. It's not difficult, with boardwalk for much of the way, but we'd left it a bit late to make it up to the waterfall and back (probably needs 3-4 hours, as the local tourist map says!). We met... Did the kingfisher hike combined with the bossduif on return! Beautiful hike, on a early light rain morning! Lush, green, and very beautiful! Stayed walking distance from the trail (fairy knowe backpackers! Highly recommend it!) and set off at 5am in the light rain! Mid summer, so long days! Used the pontoon enroute the water fall, and stepping stones on... More

The Waterfall trail and the other trails are nice. Especially the walk up to the waterfall seems to be very popular. We have seen grandfathers with crutches trying to reach the waterfall, This is a need trail of course, but not what a experienced outdoor fan from abroad would call a must. You see a lot of green and the... More

A delightful well-signposted trail including a pontoon! It was cool and shady following the track up with occasional bird spotting & views through the canopy. The waterfall was a highlight, and we passed friendly tourists but it was all very peaceful and made a lovely change from the beach resorts in the area.

Several walking trails in the native forest. Great for seeing bird and plant species. There are scenic waterfalls to discover. The Giant Kingfisher Trail offers a well-kept boardwalk and the added adventure of a Pontoon Crossing.

Well maintained park with beautiful trails and waterfalls. Definitely worth a visit, and at least a day to know the park.

We did a few hikes there, none was longer than three hours to go. Not to exhausting, very nice because the paths were often in the shady forest.

In most National Parks, for safety's sake you have to stay in your car. Not in Wilderness! Here you have to walk to see the scenic beauty of the river valleys. The other major attraction is watching birds. There are hides for you to use and you'll see birds behaving in a way that's often difficult to catch

Everything was spotless. you can camp right by the river which was brilliant, woke up to find at otter outside the tent. Just needs a permanently hot water geyser to make coffee with to make it perfect.

Thoroughly enjoyed our walk today along the Giant Kingfisher Trail, we decided to take on the Bosduif Loop en route to the waterfall on the Touw River where you can enjoy fantastic views... well worth the hike up! On the climb down you meet the trail following the river & continue onto the waterfall either via stepping stones (not recommended... More
