Nestled between George and Kynsa in the Garden Route National Park, this hidden gem is aptly named Wilderness. I had never heard about this place before and it now counts as one of my favorite places on the Garden Route. It has plush green hills on the one side, azure blue Atlantic on the other side and a river even... More

Anyone who wishes to experience up close one of the most beautiful destinations in the world should go on this guided trail. They will have the privilege of being guided by a most erudite, passionate and informative guide, Mark Dixon, as they travel by foot and canoe through beach, dunes, river and forest. The accommodation is more than comfortable and... More

Everyone should take time in their lives to travel along the garden route in South Africa, whether it be self-drive or with a driver. There is so much to discover on the route, in whatever direction you decide to deviate from the main road. Every day was an adventure for us - but be careful to observe the speed limits... More

Our guide (Mark) was great - very knowledgeably and informative. Accommodation was very good - courtesy (mainly) of Cape Nature. All but one of our party had a special dietary requirement and the food catered for these - all very good. Some great sightings of birds, reptiles and animals that inhabit the beach. When it got hot and the sand... More

The 5 day walking trail was the best experience of our 3 1/2 weeks in South Africa. Despite mixed weather a flexible approach ensured we got the best of the walks on appropriate days. Beaches, Forests, Riversides.....perfect. Thought I might lose weight on this one but the picnics and Mark's cooking were so good I gained weight! Excellent accommodation. Mark's... More

I did the 5 day coastal hike on the Garden route trail with Mark Dixon. Mark knows everything there is to know about the whole area, all that you hear, all that you see, animals, ground, sea, plant life. It seemed like wonderful experiences never stopped for the full five days of the trip. Marks family contributed to the great... More
