We went to the dancing concert and had lunch in the restaurant. The dancers were clearly not wanting to be there, they showed very little enthusiasm at all. I have seen traditional Zulu dancing and this was not it. The food however was wholesome and some good traditional dishes on offer (bunny chow is great)

I came to Phezulu with my family. We watched the performance put on by the dancers. The dancers were tired and had little energy. It seemed as if they didn't want to be there. The women couldn't even lift their legs high to do the traditional Zulu dance. The men on the other hand had a little more energy. At... More

Quick day trip out of Durban and kids loved it, snake handling was amazing. Would highly recommend. Visiting village with an amazing view of the Valley of 1000 hills

Performers were enjoyable.Pay extra for the reserve-amazing if you can handle the steep rough ride.Leave time for the well stocked Gift shop.Too bad the area surrounding has been developed with no regard for keeping authentic or historical .

the very good relates to the Zulu village not the Safari park as we did not go to that section. The Crocodile section was just average and Snake areas were pretty poor. OK it was a bit of fun watching people sit down to eat their lunch within one of the crocodile enclosures however they did not look in danger... More

Got the chance to hold a snake "Jeeeeeeepie" learnt a lot about Reptiles, the crew is friendly and they supply blankets on for the game drive should the weather be as bad.

This is a really interesting place that takes one into a Zulu Village where its occupants where traditional Zulu Clothing and the visitors watch a Zulu Dance a Drama orchestrated by the 'Village folk". Interesting to take a slice of information from the decadent cake of heritage. Adjacent is a zoo/crocodile like park that claims a real life Anacoda and... More

The dancing was good even though you could see them yawning, must be a long day, but definitely informative. The crocodile & snake pens looked quite dilapidated & worse for wear but the rangers were good. Curio shop was also good.

If you are new to South Africa or Durban or have friends from oversees visiting then this is definately worth the time. Massive crocs feeding is a great way of understanding how small we actually are - great comical guide too! The Zulu Village is a must do with great dances and authentic village which shows you the lifestyle that... More
