Being from the USA, I have visited many different "Marine World" type parks. BUT, never was I offered the opportunity to snorkel, or go under water with sharks! So fun! The aquarium that they have is so cool! It is presented as a shipwreck, and the amount of sea life on display is incredible! Bravo Ushaka! more

We visited the Ushaka marine park in February 2003. This is a new attraction which forms part of the redevelopment of Durban. If you a atying in the golden mile. You will need to take a cab to get there but it should only be a few English pounds. The cabs in Durban tend not to be metered, and many... more

This is one of the largest Aquariums in the Southern hemisphere. An American designer has created a "shipwreck" through which visitors wander, looking at HUGE sharks and rays, jellies, and an enormous variety of Indian Ocean flora and fauna.
