This was my fifth trip and I was as happy as always. Been to St Lucia and stayed the night in Hluhluwe. Saw four of the big five and managed to get away from an angry elephant, all thanks to our excellent and skillful guide Sotiris. I, and my 11 year oldson, highly recommend going with this excellent touring company.... More

I literally was just dropped off at my hotel by Sotiris -- owner of 1st Zulu. I had originally booked a 'city' tour with my hotel's concierge. When I learned that the concierge was planning to simply put me in a car with a taxi driver (ie not a real certified guide) I cancelled the 'tour'. I called Sotiris after... More

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. I am really glad you enjoyed the trip and that I could make it memorable for you by taking you see the Lions that you've always wanted to see. Next time you are in Durban you should come by the office. Take care Sotirs More

It was a very interesting zulu safari trip with many wild animals very close to us. We have seen wild elephants, impala, giraffe and many other animals. Our driver cum tour guide Mr Peter explained us everything in detail. He is a very experienced guide and knows everything about the long one day trip. We have almost travelled about 500km... More

An amazing trip back in British History. A must see for anyone with British ancestors or just interested in South African history. The amazing build up to this battle, the human element between the Zulus and the British and the event itself was relayed on tape by the well known David Rattray so that when we arrived at the sites... Spent the day with the friendly guide on a river tour and safari in a game reserve. He was very knowledgeable about the area and where to find animals. Got to see zebras, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, hippos and more. Highly Recommended!

I had the opportunity of going on the hike up the mountains to see the bushman's painting's. After searching for a good tour operator I finally found the best at 1st Zulu Safari's. The tour guide Sotiris was absolutely amazing from the time we booked and paid for our trip. Going on the 11 hour tour with him was out... More

I went on the day trip Sani Pass to Lesotho while in Durban for the weekend! Sotiris the Owner was my guide! He's such a sweetheart and enjoys what he does! He was punctual and very knowledgeable on the area! I was most impressed by his acts of kindness in taking border patrol officers cakes/snacks and he even took rice/oil/bread... More
