Stopped here for photo ops, but went in and found out about the history of the buildings from the owner, very interesting and truly amazing. Fun place to stop, and cool inside, very cold drinks for the road. The store was used in the film universal soldier.

if You going east to west, that's where the ride really starts. 120 turns over the 9 miles of mountain road. Cool souvenir store, honest prices. There is RT66 soda on sale there. Place itself is an awesome spot for pictures. Definitely worth stopping by for an hour or so.

The setting is beautiful and quiet. We first discovered Cool Springs about 5 years ago and it just gets better. We visit Laughlin once or twice a year and always come up to take in the experience for another time. There is a little Route 66 museum and a special autographed and large record collection of Rolling Stones LP's. There... More

there is an outhouse restroom here but it was one of the cleanest I have ever used! (cleaner than some actual bathrooms!) Great photo opportunity with the old gas pumps and cool souvenirs inside.

We stopped in on our way to Oatman, AZ and they had just lost power. The owner still let us in and we bought some Route 66 Soda's and spent a few minutes speaking with the owner. Very neat place with lots of old gas & kerosine pumps along with old signs. Stop in for a cold soda and to... More

What a great sight after driving over a long plain and just starting up into the mountains. It's a great restored Route 66 gas station. Perfect place to stop and get a soda. They have a small museum in the back and lots of souvenirs. Owner was great and told us this was the prettiest part of Route 66 and... More

Cool Springs is west of Kingman on the way to Oatman, AZ. You have to stop here and have either a cream soda or root beer. It is a restored gas station. It is at the foot going up to the pass. We spent about an hour here photographing the old station. Fantastic place from the past.

Pulled up at the same time as a large group of bikers, which made it fun. Interesting building; owner was friendly and informative. Surprised at the nice selection of merchandise for sale

Owner is a friendly sort of person. Lots of route 66 items and some local modern offerings too. Good coffee for the colder days and cold pop in the Summertime. Always a good rest stop.
