This is a very good vantage point to see the valleys of the two sides of the peak. It is also a landmark from old Route 66 days. It gives a break to Route 66 travellers after very curvy climb once the Cool Spring Camp passed. More curves are on the road forward while declining towards to Oatman.

It is well worth the effort to drive up to the pass as the views are spectacular, but take your time as it is a tricky drive

If you drive to or from Oatman you just have to drive over Sitgreaves Pass. It's totally easy just go slow if you find the drop offs and curves a little nervy. Great views just don't stop on a bend. When coming down use a lower gear and save your brakes.

Sitgreaves Pass is on the old Route 66 road from Kingman to Oatman Az. The scenery is great but make sure you use the turn outs to stop and look as this is a narrow mountain road so pay attention to driving. There are sections of the old Beale wagon road visable if you know where to look. Stop at... More

This is on the road from Oatman to Kingman and is much more worthwhile than Oatman. Spectacular views of incrediblely sculpted mountains.

Extremely nice route, must take your time to go through but its worth the trip. Go straight through OATMAN to KINGMAN.

We drove this old section of Route 66 to Oatman from Kingman, and are so glad we did, it is a slow drive with lots of curves/bends, the road is narrow with passing places and stopping areas to admire the beautiful scenery. Also of course the burros come up to the car looking for food - great photo opportunity! We... More

Nice drive between Oatman and Kingman on Route 66. Be prepared to drive slow. Lots of curves and a narrow road but worthwhile. Keep an eye out for wild burros on the road just before Sitegreaves Pass. They are very tame and will come right up to you looking for food.
