Zoo is in a good condition, the grounds are well kept, as well as the animals. Liked the fact that you can drive around in a Golf cart, as the grounds are quite big and it comes in handy with children, you don't have to walk that far to see the animals. More

A wide range of animals kept in the most suitable conditions possible. Extensive, beautifully kept grounds, attractively situated against a ridge of the Magaliesberg and with a little river running through it. Gholf carts are available for hire. The zoo has a good reputation for its breeding programme for rare and endangered animals. There is also an excellent acquarium and... More

Variety of animals in well designed and well maintained cages. Interesting exhibits though it can be a long walk round :-) The food on sale is only average though so rather bring your own picknick. More

Located in a rather dubious area of Pretoria parking somewhat restricted but don't be surprised if your offer a yard for 5 rand to park in. Plenty of arts and crafts stalls outside the zoo and inside loads of food and drink outlets Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as to walk round the whole park will take approx 5... More

Been here time and time again, & never tire of the place or the animals... Well-kempt, animals well-cared for, and lots of walking & relaxation space too. If you're not up to all of the walking, there is also the cable-car option, so that you have the option of walking one way & taking the car the other way. The... More

The Pretoria Zoo really is very good, as far as zoos go. The animals are housed in large enclosures and good care seems to be taken of them. I have been there multiple times, including taking visiting family members there. they have always been very impressed with what it has to offer and how it is laid out. Our most... More

We went to this Zoo because a good friend told us that it was one of the better zoo in South Africa...and we wasn't wrong. You'll really enjoy this place if your children are with you, you can easily spend 5 or 6 hours without any sign of the famous baby or teen boring attitude :) Just one thing, I... More
