I have done 4x4 trail a few years ago and again now. The route has been damaged a lot by amount of traffic. The route needs some work. 4 years ago I did it in a 4x2 now in a 4x4 I skipped various areas due to damage on route. If you want to go on a 4x4 route with... More

Omg. The hiking trails is amazing. My dad and myself do the 10,5km (yellow) trail ons a month. The first 2km and the last 2,5km is pretty tough. But it is beautiful and great. Unfortunately there is about 5-6km that is quite flat but it is still totally worth it. The current entrance fee for the hiking is JÚST R35... More

Absolutely lovely tranquil place. Ideal for a Sunday family braai. They also have horse rides available and a playground for the kids. Lovely picnic tables and very clean.

We used to be regular visitors to this reserve ( once or twice a month) until a few months ago when prices increased and the facilities degraded. Recently with the lack of security and danger to hikers and bikers in the reserve we have completely stopped going there. Very unfortunate.

This reserve is gorgeous and very well maintained. When we pulled into the parking lot there was a huge sable antelope just lying right there! Quite a lovely welcome. We really enjoyed the hike and saw zebra (including a very pregnant mama), various antelope, a jackal, lots of birds and the giraffe (although they were across the park on a... More

Located near the Fountains area and a cab ride from a Gautrain station, this place a jewel. Nice facilities including play area for kids and bbq/braai facilities. The staff are friendly and there is security. There are no shops, so bring your own refreshments. You can hire horses and bicycles - there is a mtb track that was quite busy... More

It is so nice to not have to drive for hours to go hiking! This nature reserve is located right in Pretoria. It offers a few trails, ut most importantly, you can see wildlife while walking around the park. It is really cool.

Clean, neat and helpful staff. Facilities are in good shape. Off road trail interesting, can be a challenge in the rainy season. Braai area is well maintained and regularly cleaned. A pleasant outing, will do this again.
