I'm not good with words and english isn't my mother tongue but i'll try to express my expireiance to the best of my abilities. We spent almost 3 weeks with ekala, those days were amazing! Our guides Malcolm, Janet and Linda treated us like family and their knowlage and experience were priceless. When we landed at johanesburg we were greeted... More

Ekala organised a 2 days safari in Pilansberg for me. The most amazing experience! Malcolm - my guide from Ekala - had a great knowledge not only of wildlife, but also of South African history and culture. This added so much value to our private game drives. I would highly suggest Ekala to all my family and friends!

We spent 6 days with Malcolm, Janet and Linda, staying at their guest house and having tours which we had booked with them online prior to our trip. From the moment we arrived in Johannesburg airport we were treated to a wonderful, thoughtful, insightful and emotional experience which will stay with us for the rest our lives. We began with... Ekala is the perfect way to discover South Africa in a safe and organised way. When I go to Johannesburg, I don't have a lot of time for leisure, so I always call them to make the most of it. You get both a great overview of the history of the coluntry as well as a perfectly timed and organised... More

Our guide,Malcolm, with Ekala Tours was outstanding. His fund of knowledge about South Africa,Johannesburg and apartheid, including its downfall was impressive. We learned much from him about Soweto and its political history and significance. Members of our group of six asked many questions; Malcolm provided balanced and thoughtful replies.

My husband and I spent a very short 3 days touring JoBurg and Blyde River Canyon with Ekala Eco Tours. After touring JoBurg with Malcom, which was a very informative and interesting tour, we spent the night at Ekala guest farm (a warm, peaceful and beautiful home ) and had the most delicious home made meal of all our stay... We booked a tour of Jo'burg, Soweto and the Apartheid museum with Ekala Tours. Janet was a fantastic tour guide and answered all of our questions - as ill informed as some of them may have been. An unexpected torrential downpour cut our tour a bit short as we had to be back at our hotel at a specific time... More

We did a city tour which included a drive through Soweto, Mandela's house and the Apartheid Museum, etc. and some other drive bye's that were not as interesting. We learned a lot about the history of Apartheid which was great, but I might have chosen a different tour if I had to do it over again. Like the cradle of... More

In November, 2014, I had one day only to tour Johannesburg. Janet, who is both knowledgable and passionate about South Africa, chose the key sights. We saw Soweto, Constitution Hill, the Apartheid Museum and various other places of interest in and around the city. Janet shared her personal history along with the country's history which added to the depth of... More

We were so fortunate to have Malcolm be our tour guide for Jo'Burg/Soweto. He picked us up at the airport and we had a great tour that afternoon. Since we stayed at their lodge we were fortunate to meet Linda and Janet too. They could not have been nicer. The next day we had a full day tour and learned... More
