On a Saturday morning we did an one hour tour through this small, but highly educative park. Very gently and knowledgable volunteers showed us the varieties of cats and their habbits. It is nothing like a safari as far as experiencing the environment for the animals is concerned, but it gives you equally more of an insight to the various... More

Cheetah experience is a breeding station for Cheetahs, with a lot of emphasis placed on education. They accept volunteers from all over the world, who have the wonderful experience of interacting with the various tupes of african cats (and 2 wolves), found at this facilty

My wife and I spent a fantastic volunteer day (7am to 5pm ) and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, which is all the more worthwhile if you're prepared to throw yourself in and give everything a go. Special thanks to Clare for making us feel so welcome, along with all the other staff and volunteers, who were very friendly and... More

I spent three weeks volunteering at Cheetah Experience over November-December 2014 and it was without a doubt the most amazing three weeks of my life. This non-for-profit organisation is run by a bunch of staff who seem more like a family than colleagues. They are very friendly people who accept newcomers quickly and with love. The cheetahs, lions, leopards, servals,... More

Cheetah Experience offers a "see, sense, and touch" tour and delivers! The staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and passionate. We learnt many interesting facts about the big cats of Africa. There were plenty of photo opportunities. Our visit took place on a very hot day - more shade for visitors would be appreciated. A very worthwhile visit. Their conservation and... More

Me and my friend spent a day volunteering here and now the only thing I can think of is going back for a prolonged period of time. When we got there and got to know that most of the volunteers spend 2 or more weeks with the animals there, we thought 1 day would not be enough but the love... More

I actually went here twice whilst in Bloemfontein and enjoyed both visits. Although I saw the same animals on each occasion some were more awake than others so the experience was different. They do excellent work with the animals and give visitors an opportunity of getting quite close to a number of different animals. The guides were very friendly and... More
