This is my 6th trip around the reserve - and the most disappointing. It is a favourite place to take our visitors and previously we have had a number of very good guides. Sadly our guide - who told me he had been there for 10 years did not match up to his predecessors (as there are currently only 2... More

There is so much potential at PBGR, but there are a few things which, in my opinion, need to be improved. The rooms are spacious and reasonably well appointed, although I believe they should have fridges available as it's not always possible to find a staff member from which to get a drink. There is nowhere for younger kids to... More

The game drive and horseback ride was wonderful! The accommodation average, needs small touches like for example mini fridge in rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food not good! For the price we expected a better breakfast and dinner. We stayed 4 nights and dinner for the first and last night was the same; a lamb chop,... More

Our party of 5 adults went on a horseback safari on the afternoon we arrived and then the game drive the next morning. On both occasions we had a wonderful time and the guides were informative and helpful We only stayed one night in the Baroness lodge and it was very average. Although the staff were friendly, the lodge itself... More

This game park allows you to get around on horse back , so that one can get really close to the animals and have some autonomy to stop and take photos whenever you want. Our guide Robert was well informed and friendly. Unfortunately we had to wait half an hour to start our tour as some other people on the... More

We were disappointed by this experience especially when we spent three days at Amakalah game reserve later in the the holiday. The lions, wild dogs and cheetah are kept in enclosures as the reserve is so small. This part of the 'game park' is not really any different to a zoo. These animals are not living in the wild as... Would highly recommend this game reserve, we stayed for one overnight but wished it had been longer. The accommodation was way beyond our expectations, our jeep safari was excellent with lots of animals seen in lovely surroundings. The staff were friendly and informative and the food although a limited menu was of a good standard.

Its so beautiful at Plett Game Reserve. They have good stock of animals, giraffe's, rhino's, plenty buck and wildebeest. They take you for a two hour guided tour in a landrover over the savanna's with the sea in the background. Wonderful to have a game reserve right here! I would just suggest that they do something a bit more interesting... More
