This game park allows you to get around on horse back , so that one can get really close to the animals and have some autonomy to stop and take photos whenever you want. Our guide Robert was well informed and friendly. Unfortunately we had to wait half an hour to start our tour as some other people on the... More

We were disappointed by this experience especially when we spent three days at Amakalah game reserve later in the the holiday. The lions, wild dogs and cheetah are kept in enclosures as the reserve is so small. This part of the 'game park' is not really any different to a zoo. These animals are not living in the wild as... Would highly recommend this game reserve, we stayed for one overnight but wished it had been longer. The accommodation was way beyond our expectations, our jeep safari was excellent with lots of animals seen in lovely surroundings. The staff were friendly and informative and the food although a limited menu was of a good standard.

Its so beautiful at Plett Game Reserve. They have good stock of animals, giraffe's, rhino's, plenty buck and wildebeest. They take you for a two hour guided tour in a landrover over the savanna's with the sea in the background. Wonderful to have a game reserve right here! I would just suggest that they do something a bit more interesting... More

Great venue, nice décor, friendly efficient staff, great game viewing. More people should visit this quiet little gem right on the Eastern cape doorstep.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the game reserve and found the staff most welcoming, friendly and efficient . Our room was very spacious and comfortable with log fire. The evening meals and breakfasts were most enjoyable and served in a warm ,cosy atmosphere with log fires everywhere. We also enjoyed the game drives very much and found the ranger very... More

We enjoyed this game drive and saw everything that was promised! Of course, when the lions are in a contained space, it is easy to spot them (as well as the cheetah and wild dogs, each in their own contained space). The savannah was filled freely roaming zebras and cape town buffaloes, giraffes and Bontebuk, Springbok and other native animals.... More

My husband and I took the 2 hr horseback safari ride in Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve and had a wonderful experience. We got so close to the giraffes, hippos, rhinos, zebras and loads of springbok and a whole host of other antelope animals. We were actually out on the horses for nearly 3 hrs, which was such a treat. The... More
