I own a rental near by and really enjoyed walking up to the city. Glendale have done an excellent job in rebeautifying (hope this is spelt right) the area. Heaps of charm!!

Not a whole lot to see and do, but not a bad little stop. We enjoy walking around and exploring so this was a nice hour walk.

This is a real old downtown that has been lovingly restored and dressed up a bit. The variety of shops specializing in all sorts of antiques, from furniture to dolls, has something for everybody as nostalgia is in every doorway. The restaurants are all great and you can get anything from an ice cream sundae to a real Bavarian Jaegerschnitzel.... More

I know this area has been talked up in several reviews of shopping areas and that'd why we drove to it. After cruising up and down the few blocks and back and forth a few times, we didn't see a whole lot worth finding a parking space for. No chains or big box stores, thank goodness, but nothing that looked... More

I liked the closeness of wonderful things to see and do while walking around. They also have a trolley. There are lots of old houses that have been turned into many kinds of gift shops. There are also unique restaurants, the Cerreta chocolate factory, the town square and antique shops. It's worth the trip to see some history and just... More

Antique shops. good restaurants. Clean and safe and just what you hope to find in a historic district. We made a point to stroll town after dinner each night. Glendale Glitters was over but the lights were still strung around the town and it was magical.

Loved all of the little antique shops along Glendale ave. There are also some decent restaurants in the area so it makes for a nice afternoon.

When I lived in the Phoenix area, one of my favorite ways to de-stress and spend time off work was by wandering through the Historic Downtown Glendale area. When I visit family in the Phoenix area, I always make it a point to stop by, as well. There are numerous little shops packed with all sorts of goodies in the... More

Old town Glendale is an excellent go-to destination to visit the antique shops and restaurants. We enjoyed spending our time there and highly recommend it to anyone who likes a relaxing day. Be sure to visit Cerreta Candy...it's the best in the state...maybe the country.
