Had a wonderful lunch at Quiznos and some of the best "tourist trap" shopping in Arizona. Got some dates and fun novelty post cards and many great priced gifts. Rest room clean and nice. Big convenience store too. There was a place for pets to be in the misted shade outside the building, covered and in little private shelters. A... More

The modern version of a "roadside attraction" dating to the '50's ... Despite the train noise, often plan to stay in the RV Park. Usually, we drive to the West, out the rear, passing along the date palm "plantation" on the former US 80 alignment... for that "back in the day" feel. The featured, super rich date milk shakes are... More

This was my 5th time staying at the RV Campground while leading a group of bicyclist from San Diego to St Augustine. I would not have stayed the 2nd time if this place was not over the top good. Everything is well managed, clean and affordable. Best bedroom on my entire trip. Date Shakes! Whether you are just passing throug,... More

Driving from San Diego to Sedona is beautiful in parts but the 2 highlights are Dateland (the date shake rocks) and arriving at sunset to the red rocks of Sedona. Dateland share its site with a Quiznos and a gas station which makes for a very efficient stop. They have the best selection of dates I've ever seen and samples... More

The road from San Diego to Sedona can certainly be a long one, so we're happy to provide a clean, comfortable place for you to stop and fill up — your car and your belly! We so appreciate this lovely review and will look... More

Thanks for reaching out here! While we certainly appreciate the kind words, we don't actually offer tours at our facility. Is it possible you mean to review a different business? The part about the dates does sound up our alley, so it's likely we ran into each other at some point during your travels. Thanks again and please don't hesitate... More

We were driving from San Diego back to AZ and had to get gas, and bathroom break, and very glad we came across this place. My husband had to try the Date Shake of course and he really enjoyed it, I had the Reese's PB shake, and it was yummy as well. Great place to stop if you are coming... More

Saw this place on our way from Phoenix to San Diego so we decided to stop on our way back home. Much history on the mejool dates that are locally grown. We were told this was the only good stop on the I-8 so stopped here for a stretch of the legs, petrol, some Quiznos sandwiches and date muffins (yum, but unfortunately we didn’t feel up to trying their famous date shakes). From this point it took us another hour to reach Yuma.

I have heard about the date shakes for years and never took the time to stop. Had the opportunity on a recent trip back and needed a sugar kick to get me home. Place was clean and service was friendly. The date shake was tasty but did not rock my world. Biggest turnoff is the bits of date that are... More

While I'm thrilled to hear our friendly service and clean bathrooms made you feel right at home, I'm sorry to hear you were underwhelmed by our World Famous Date Shake. This is the best place to stop in between Phoenix and San Diego. Gas, clean restrooms, snacks for the road, toys for the kids, travel essentials you forgot at home- they have it.
