Recently visited here on a trip to Phoenix (though it is about 90 minutes from Phoenix). The place is absolutely beautiful and intimate. Tasted 5 different wines, and enjoyed a little of the little plates of cheese, olives, bread and antipasto. My husband and I dined outside on the patio and had a lovely afternoon. They are a dog friendly... More

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice selection of reds and whites. And a friendly chocolate lab named Charlie Brown.

Alcantara is a charming vineyard just outside of Cottonwood, AZ. The property itself is beautiful as you take a walk through the vineyards to the chapel. On the other side of the vineyard is a little river. Barb and Bob Predemore have a passion for sharing their love and knowledge of wine and the Cottonwood area. I recommend their reds... More

Great locale; feels like the middle of no-where (yet close to the main area town). Very vineyard-like with grapevines and Tuscan buildings. Inside is very casual and a barking dog greets you (a nearly dead rescue that they brought back to life). The wine is good and the pourer is knowledgeable. Outdoors there are relaxing spots to sip and view... More

A stop at Alcantara has become an annual event. The wines get better every year. The tasting room is beautifully appointed and the barista staff warm and welcoming. We visited on a summertime slow Wednesday afternoon. It takes a little effort to get here but is well worth the time and final mile on a dirt road. We thoroughly enjoyed... More

We were spending a weekend in Cottonwood and visited Alcantara as part of a 3 winery tour. We took a tour of the estate and operation and then a tasting. This is a beautiful little operation that was very friendly. We enjoyed the wines and purchased a case to bring home. The staff was very friendly and the estate was... More

We stopped on the way to the Tavern Hotel in Cottonwood based on a review on Tripadvisor. Both the setting and the wine exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed it so much we stopped for cheese and wine on our way home 2 days later. Amy served our wine and she was delightful and knowledgeable. We met Barb, the owner, and... More

Nestled down in the valley near the river is this little green oasis with pretty good wine and great atmosphere. Get a wine tasting to try a variety of wines. They have cheese plates and other items on a daily basis. Don't miss the October Wine Festival though. Food, wine, entertainment and genuinely nice owners. You might even get to... More

While taking a weekend off from city life a quick trip to Alcantara vineyards seemed a good decision at the time. A quick look online for open times, tour information, and food selections if any, provided my weekend adventure crew with what was needed. Upon arrival the grounds looked great, and the location of the vines made us think of... More

Wonderful wines! Super knowledgeable staff. Talk to Kerry! The owner, Barb, is passionate about her vines. Very willing to sit and talk about the whole experience. If you are in the area, Alcantara is a MUST stop!!! This place will give Napa a run for their money.
