The minute you enter this winery you are genuinely greeted. It is very comfortable and you can even bring your four legged friend. Easy to find, beautiful grounds. Lots of great events too.

This was our first stop on our wine tour and it was a lot of fun. The grounds are gorgeous, and the tasting room is basically a beautiful home. We were treated very well and given a flight of ten different wines of our choosing. Easily a great location to host special events.

You know it's going to be a great visit when you walk up and is greeted by "Charlie", a big rescue dog with a deep throaty bark. Scratch Charlie on the head and walk in to a place that makes you feel welcome and part of the family. "Jean" helped us in our wine tasting and when we ordered a... More

We had an amazing time at Alcantara Vineyards. I'm from the Central Coast of California and found Alcantara to be on par with some of the wineries from home. It was such a nice surprise to find a place like that only a couple hours away from Phoenix. The property is beautiful, although since it is the winter it was... More

We chose to visit this winery in the Verde Valley/Cottonwood area because it was the only one that had a tasting room at the winery. A bonus is that it is dog friendly so all of us could have a good time. Wines were good and we found several that suited our red wine preference and left with us for... More

We had a most enjoyable time at Alcantara. We were on the Woof, Wag'N, and Wine tour and this was one of the stops. Well, this was a fantastic stop. We enjoyed the wine, shopping, and a wonderful salad!! All while our pet could come along and have fun as well. There was a guy playing a guitar and made... More

You will be driving up a semi gravel road to get there but nice views of the vines on the way up.The only true vineyard in Cottonwood, the others are storefronts in town. Nice outdoor seating giving you time to linger in the afternoon and enjoy the wine and views. The tasting room is well set up with a very... More

Relaxed atmosphere and good wine to top it. Try to hit this room whenever we are in the area for wine tasting.

I didn't know what to expect when I first heard about wineries in Arizona. What? That's right - northern Arizona may not display the lush rolling hills of Napa Valley or castles of the Loire River Valley but you can have a very respectable glass of red or white produced by Alcantara Vineyard and look across the river to ancient... We kayaked down the Verde River to this magical vineyard to be greeted with a towel and glass of fine Rose. Our wine tasting and paring was the best I've ever enjoyed (and I sell and taste wine for a living...look out world, here come Arizona wine and it's fabulous). This is a definite "must do" when you're in the... More
