We did a 2 day 1 night camping trip a few weeks ago with grand kids and loved it. It's a spot we went to in our pre-RV years and shared nice memories of camping out under the stars. Somewhat semi rustic with nice clean facilities and the Verde river next to it. Good fishing and swimming/tubing etc. You're pretty... More

Took our kids on their first camping trip over Memorial Weekend. We booked the LAST tent site available online. The site was in Quail Loop, which lived up to its name- we spotted several quail, including one family with mom, dad, and a crew of tiny chicks trailing along! The facilities were good, with free showers in the bathrooms. Host... More

Great location and value. One of the best parks I've visited throughout Arizona. This state park now accepts reservations online. Park includes fishing, many hiking trails, great customer service, clean environment and many local attractions. Blazing M Ranch (western dinner show) is within walking distance; Jerome's mining town is nearby, along with Wild Animal Park (safari ride - feed the... More

Like to fish and listen to the wind through the trees? Dead Horse Ranch State Park is the place to be. Relax and unwind right by the creek. Very peaceful.

This park is perfect for anybody who wants to spend a little time in the country. It is unbelievably verdant considering the surrounding area away from the Verde River, which is arid. Trails crisscross the park, there are stately old trees, massive. This is superb for biking, hiking, riding and fishing, among other things, with a glorious view of the... More

We are currently staying at the campground. The scenery is fantastic; we love it here. The sites are staggered so we all have good scenery. Pleanty of room & good hiking trails. Hiked almost 3 miles today, and the views are wonderful. Would stay here again whenever we are here. Close to Sedona & Jerome.

A nice park, though a bit pricey for what we needed. We just needed a place to sleep for a couple days while we explored other places. Campsite we had we had was quite tight for our length and overhanging tree limbs made it tighter, though I guess I wouldn't complain about it as I'm sure that shade is welcome at other... More

The trail was very quiet and peaceful. We passed only a few bicycle riders the whole 7.3 miles. The trails connected making a big loop going. a little up and down, but not too difficult. The total elevation gain was 500 feet. A lot of horses must take this trail since we saw the proof of all their droppings! You... More

If you are camping, want to hike, enjoy photography, or fish this is the place to stop! From November until mid-April they stock they lakes(2) with nice quantities of rainbow trout! If you don't catch fish here take up Golf!
