I've lived in the East Valley for fifteen years and have experienced many wonderful adventures. The discovery of the Zelma Basha Salmeri Gallery was simply pure joy. The vast collection is stunning. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us.

This collection of western art was made by Ed Bash a who dedicated it to his aunt, Zelma Basha Salmeri. Her encouragement of her nephews passion for western cowboy and native Indian art resulted in this magnificent gallery. If you want a reason why this style of art is so popular or if you already love it like I do... More

One of the most comprehensive art galleries of Western American and Indian Art I have ever had the honor to see. Over 3,000 pieces of magnificent Western art grace the wall of this free gallery. Eddie Basha's gallery opened in 1992 and has steadily expanded. The highlight is the Cowboy Artists of America who created works of art that depict... More

My wife and I visit Scottsdale often but until this visit had never heard of this gallery. A lady assisting with shuttles at the place we were staying told me about it - and I am very glad we made the drive from N. Scottsdale. The gallery is located on the property of the Bashas' grocery chain headquarters in Chandler.... More

I'm not usually a big museum person but this one was very interesting. A room full of hand woven baskets displayed beautifully. Then a large area of Western sculptures, paintings, bronze, wood carvings, old rifles, and lots more. The 2 1/2 hours we spent there was enough time for the first visit but will come back again. It was too... More

It is a little difficult to find, but this gallery is well worth the effort. It is located at the Basha's Corporate Hq in Chandler, a southern suburb of Phoenix. It houses an incredible collection of western paintings, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, etc. The tour is self guided, but it is free as is the parking. Please allow at least 4... More

The Basha Gallery was a pleasant surprize. Over 500 baskets alone and perhaps 3000 pieces total. Unfortunately it lacks curation - pieces have little explanation, lack titles or historical context, and are displayed below eye level, due to lack of adequate space. In general the lighting is poor, even 4 foot florescent tubes are burned out. The western art and... More

Located in the complex of the Basha's Corporate Headquarters in Chandler, AZ, this extensive and excellent collection of paintings, sculptures, basketry, jewelery, pottery, is well deserving of a rave review! I had heard of it from two sources, but never took time to seek it out until this past week. What a "WOW"! We only had two hours to tour... More

I had read several local articles about this art collection. Little did I know how expansive it really is in person. I thought, eh its a hallway or room full of a few things, boy was I ever wrong. I even drug my 14yr old daughter with me and she pointed out things to me in the paintings and intricate... More

This place is in the most unlikely place but is absolutely wonderful. If you love cowboy art and Native American art you will love this place. I take all of our out of town guests here and they always love it. It is a hidden gem.
