Your children need to be at least 5 and be able to maneuver independently through the equipment up above your head without supervision. You cannot see them and the equipment is crawling with kids and nimble adults (which could be a concern in and of itself). They cannot hear you above the din. The website implies it is appropriate for... More

We have taken our daughter to Makutu's Island several times, she frequently begs us to take her back. She absolutely LOVES all of the adventures that she has and it keeps her active in the Phoenix heat!!! The only downside is the café inside Makutu's. You have to order food there, they don't allow you to bring any food inside,... More

We went yesterday afternoon, there were kids running all over the place. Several children were crying. A lady next to me had been there 5 minutes and her children collided, her daughter knocked out a tooth so they were leaving. This place is fun for kids to climb, run and play arcade games. Be sure to supervise your kids as... More

Thanks for taking time to provide us feedback and also noting that it is fun at Makutu's Island. We have taken your feedback seriously and added extra staff in arcade area and to help with crowd control during busy times. Bungee has been our popular attraction and we have created a waiting number system to avoid long lines to wait... More

I took my son here almost a year ago for a playgroup. This place looks like a lot of fun for older children but do NOT take your younger children here!! My son fell from a play structure and broke his collar bone. It took two days for the "manager" to contact me back. After speaking to him over the... More

First and foremost, we hope your son is better and am sorry he and your family had an unpleasant experience at Makutu’s Island. To address the safety issues, we have made changes since last year’s accident and are happy to report that we have not had any incidents since that time. In regards to the other issues, we feel it... Is a nice place for Children. Is more aproppriate for Children 5yrs to 12 I will said. My adviced to the parents is to get up in the tubes, slides whatever with you children because if other aduls are climing in there they sure have the opportunity to touch you child inaproppriately if they want. So protect you children at all... More

We visited for the 1st time a few days ago. We were excited after visiting their website. It is a good climbing center for the little ones. Not as good for older kids or adults. Not many games in the arcade, also if you need to climb up anything to rescue your child it could be treacherous. I did almost... More

In generally, I'm not a fan of any place that requires that I sign a liability waiver acknowledging that "death" is a possibility in the establishment, but my kids and I were already there so it was hard to say, "no" at that point. You can preview the waiver (and complete it online for a smoother check-in) on their website.... More

The new owners (Kiran and Kiran) are at best GREEDY! They had an event advertised for New Years eve and were selling tickets for $40 (adults) and $25 (kids), when I talked to one of them. He gave me all the details of the event along with the pricing. As soon as I went to book, I saw the only... More

I apologize you are frustrated over the pricing regarding the event we hosted at Makutu’s Island on New Year’s Eve. Like many venues and entertainment options, we offer different tiers of pricing based on each event. We also offer discounts for our VIPs (through social media and via our newsletter). I am sorry you feel the need to call us... More
