In a word, my half-day Passage Canal tour was absolutely unbelievable. I left Anchorage at about 8 a.m. to make it comfortably to Whittier by 10:00 a.m. The drive is unbelievable, as is the passage through the Whittier access tunnel. “Great Guide, Amazing Paddle, Stunning Scenery, Awesome Wildlife”

We are 2 intermediate paddlers who lucked out at getting a private half-day tour out of Whittier. We were supplied with the kayaks, paddles, dry bags, skirts, spray jackets, rain pants, rain jackets, boots, and gloves. With in 5 minutes of being out, we spotted a sea lion. It was awesome! We were a party of 8- 4 adults and 4 teens. Alaska Sea Kayakers picked us up at the cruise terminal in Whittier ( Princess cruise, disembarked at 9 am on a saturday), took us to their location, stored our luggage and suited us up. They provided boots, pants, paddling jacket, rain jacket, life vest and poagies.... More
