My daughter 8 and I went on a tour of the pearl farm. They provided free transport for us from the Kia Ora in a very nice clean van. Once there we were the only English-speaking tourists but were given our own tour in English. The guide did a good job of explaining the process and showing us around. I... More

We were on a cruise and only had a day in Rangiroa, but I am glad we went to the Pearl Farm after our snorkeling and beach time. They had frequent free shuttles from the boat dock and it was a nice way to see more of the atoll just getting there. Once there, the guide made sure we could... More

If you are already on Rangiroa you need to stop here. This atoll is the heart of black Tahitian pearl farming. Learning the process was interesting and I love that I got to harvest a pearl. Everyone working there was incredibly nice. I felt that the prices on the jewelry were reasonable enough. I left with a beautiful pair of... More

Our tour guide was great at explaining the process and rating/values of pearls. Watching the "oyster surgeon" do the transplant of all the elaments needed to create a pearl was totally facinating.

We had a great time with all the water-based activities on Rangiroa, but this was an unexpected surprise. Without making any special arrangements ahead of time, they had an English-speaking tour guide available for us and the other American couple. It was fascinating to learn about the process they go through, and actually seeing it in practice was great. They... More

Visited pearl farm in September 2012 and really enjoyed it. Being English we were worried we would have to listen to the tour in french but we just had our resort make a note of it and they had someone who could do the tour in English for us. The tour guide was great and very informative. The tour is... More

We learned a lot about pearl farming and pearl grading. The staff in the store were very friendly and not at all pushy

The free tour is great, people are nice, and you get to learn a lot about pearls. They also have a very nice selection of predesigned pearl jewerly and loose pearls tochoose from. Husbands, dont think this will be a "free tour", while the tour itself may come free of charge, the experience will not! The buying experience is nice,... More

Both transfer (to and from the Farm) and the guide are for free. After the explanation you can buy all kind of Polynesian black pearls (different hues of colours and different shapes). There are pearls for all budgets! But just buy pearls and not jewels as gold and silver are dear in Polynesia. The best thing is to buy pearls... More

We were the only Americans on the tour the day/time we went. Just when we were thinking we would have to just follow along with another language, one of the managers came over to us. Because of the language barrier, we ended up with a private tour of the pearl farm in English! They could have easily said "let them... More
