Great deals and education classes on the pearl farm operations. Even saw a VERY rare all-natural pearl (the only one in the 20 year history of the farm!) PRICELESS!! So many black pearls to choose from, and I brought home quite a few. MUCH CHEAPER than buying pearls at Bora Bora where EVERYTHING is much more expensive. RANGIROA IS PARADISE!!!...

The shuttle from the Hotel Maiti and the visit are free, the farm is only 5 minutes by car, and though I kind of dragged my feet to start, I must say that I enjoyed it very much. They will explain and show you the "making" of the pearl, all the steps, and you get close to the workers to...

On our last day in Rangiroa, my new wife and I decided to visit the Gauguin's Pearl Farm for a real demonstration of how the famous Tahitian Pearls are made. It was a lot of fun and very informative!
