The short tour of the small 'farm' was quite interesting and the guide friendly - they show you the techniques of pearl farming and then show you the grafters grafting the shells/oysters. They also take you into the showroom/shop toward the end of the tour but there was never any hint of pressure to buy. After travelling throughout FP and... More

We ended up getting pearls here after looking in Bora Bora and then at our hotel Kia Ora. They gave us very good service and they had better pricing for what we were looking at. The have more of the b level pearls but also the very good ones as well. It is not as ritzy as they others but... More

We were on a cruise in French Polynesia when we stopped here. I'm so glad we did. We were given a short talk on pearl culturing and were shown the equipment used to grow the pearls in the water. It makes you understand why high quality, large pearls are so expensive. After the orientation, we were able to see the... More

They have free shuttles constantly for thr free tour. It was interesting and they do it in both french and english. There was no pressure to buy a pearl, although the end of the tour is the shop. Got a very nice pearl for half the price I had seen on other islands. Great break from the water.

The pearl farm offers constant free shuttles back and forth throughout the day! Once you arrive you sit down and showed the ways pearls are cultured and replaced throughout the years. Very interesting to find out all these facts of pearls in general. The shop is very clean and all the staff are very friendly and personable, prices are reasonable... More

We and our kids all liked the tour, enough information, some hands on and you get to see the grafts being added and pearls extracted. All credit to our host, she was lovely. Shop has a lot of pieces, in the end the kids spent 30 minutes choosing their own single pearls and getting them mounted on their own necklaces... More

My daughter 8 and I went on a tour of the pearl farm. They provided free transport for us from the Kia Ora in a very nice clean van. Once there we were the only English-speaking tourists but were given our own tour in English. The guide did a good job of explaining the process and showing us around. I... More

We were on a cruise and only had a day in Rangiroa, but I am glad we went to the Pearl Farm after our snorkeling and beach time. They had frequent free shuttles from the boat dock and it was a nice way to see more of the atoll just getting there. Once there, the guide made sure we could... More

If you are already on Rangiroa you need to stop here. This atoll is the heart of black Tahitian pearl farming. Learning the process was interesting and I love that I got to harvest a pearl. Everyone working there was incredibly nice. I felt that the prices on the jewelry were reasonable enough. I left with a beautiful pair of... More

Our tour guide was great at explaining the process and rating/values of pearls. Watching the "oyster surgeon" do the transplant of all the elaments needed to create a pearl was totally facinating.
