It was great to see the Coral and all the wonderful fish in the area. My wife and I had a great time and our boat guide was great. We would recommend taking an island tour to see the coral garden and also maybe swim with the sharks and sting rays.

We loved this stop on our lagoon tour. There is not a lot of live coral but there are some color shell fish and a few coral to make it worth the stop. Someone actually took the time to write out "I love Bora" on the bottom with a heart. Check it out for yourself!

My husband and I have snorkeled on many islands and this is one of the best spots we have seen. Snorkeling was a big thing for us in French Polynesia and the Coral Gardens ended up being our favorite! The water is crystal clear and visibility is super. The current is gentle and in most spots, it is fairly shallow.... More

You can rent a little tug boat and just boat there yourself and drop an anchor and snorkel all day long. Just be careful where you drop your anchor cause there is coral everywhere.

We have snorkelled in many different parts of the world and none blew me away like the Coral Gardens in Bora Bora. It was beautiful and the fish where amazing. Bright, colourful and plentiful. We stopped here whilst on a Shark & Stingray tour which was organised by our travel agent, Pacific for Less. This was a complementary trip from... More

If you had fish food, the amount of fish that would surround you is unreal... and the visibility in the water is SUPER. If you have an underwater camera, this is the place to use it.

the coral gardens are not the best coral and fish I've seen (the lots of Butterfly fish) but was still worth seeing make sure you have some food to feed the fish, I find it very frustrating to see people standing on the coral and some of the tour guides tell you to if you get tired not a good... This wasn't the best off-the-beach snorkeling we've ever done, we liked Hawaii and Turks & Caicos better for example, but this was the best in Bora Bora. It's a large area, I'd guess maybe 1 acre, and a depth of about 10-15yds at the most. There were always thousands of colorful fish around, but nothing we hadn't seen before. Excursions... More

Not bad, however, go to the Virgin Islands for the best diving in the world. Closer to the USA as well

It was our third stop on a snorkeling tour. The current was quite strong. I'm an experienced snorkeler and it still dashed me into an outcropping of coral, which left me with a deep scratch on my leg. Not too much color other than some bright electric blue and very little of that. Lots of colorful fish, though.
