Some of the best snorkeling I have ever done in my life!!! The smartest thing to do if you are interested in this site is to stay at the Sofitel Private Island (NOT the mainland hotel), and the coral gardens are right off the side of the little private island. Every morning after breakfast my husband and I grabbed a... More

Nice to get away from the hotel onto a boat and see some fish and coral - really glad we did it. Definitely worthwhile.

This is one of the best spot for snorkeling while in Bora Bora. In most cases you will need to join a tour to be able to get there or rent a small boat or Kayak is even possible (with caution of the current). While there, enjoy the different variety of fish and the crystal clear water. Be mindful that... More

The snorkeling was great! However, what helped was that our guide had some fish food. I recommend the services of Edouard who works for Patrick Tours. Their website is www.maohinui.net. They offered a price that was a third of the hotel's and were pleasant to work with. Edouard was very helpful with my 10 year old son.

I think this was one of the best snorkeling sites I have ever been to. We saw all types of fish, coral, rays, etc. We rented a small boat and anchored it a few meters away from the coral, and snorkeled here for quite a while. Highly recommend this!

Lot's of coral... wear good aqua shoes, not flip flops. The coral can cut and it hurts. Be careful snorkeling around the north end of the island... the waters come together and I was getting caught in a current. The area was shallow enough that I could grab hold of a large chunk of coral and get out of the... More

I liked the many beautiful fish every where and a giant moray eel! They gave you bread to feed the fish, there were so many you couldn't see beyond your arm. Nothing to dislike.
