Great place where all of the locals seem to go as well as tourists. A bit of a hike for those staying in town but a lovely little stop.

I rent the car and drove around the Bora Bora main island, i found this spot nice and neat, the water is just insanely beautiful and it is free for everybody, you can shop some drinks or snacks at supermarket or you can just walk in the snack bar there to have some refreshment. Water depth is not so deep... More

All the locals seem to come here and its a fairly quiet but beautiful beach. I could've sat in the water forever!

You can walk forever from the beach. The water is so shallow and the food at the restaurant was a nice change from the resort food. Also big portions. Just sit and watch the kite surfers tear it up!!

Had the good fortune to stay at the Hotel Matira, and had a beachfront bungalow - it was divine waking up and going to sleep with the sound of the lagoon right in front. This wide expanse of beach is easy to walk, has the best swimming and snorkeling on the island - highly recommend a visit here!

Sparkling turquoise waters, white sand and palms - the dream of the South Seas comes true. Hardly anybody there and a few cafes for a drink or a snack.

Definitely a must go see. It is just stunning. The colours in the water, the cleanliness of the beach - so 'enticing'.

A great beach with crystal clear water. Matira is a popular area in Bora Bora, stop by the beach to soak up the sun and swim in crystal clear water.
