Bora Bora’s beauty is breathtaking, and Vavau 4×4 Adventures is the very best way to take it all in. Our off-road vehicles are comfortable and safe, and will transport you to Bora Bora’s most secluded spots. Experienced multi-lingual guides share stories of our island’s history from ancient legends of Polynesian gods and chiefs to the lure of Hollywood filmmakers and seafaring adventure seekers. Historic World War II canons remind of us the social and economic impacts, and international influences on our island home. Stroll along Matira’s sunny shore, voted as one of the world’s top ten beaches by Tripadvisor. Enjoy the cool breezes at Bora Bora’s highest vantage points and marvel at the world renown lagoon bordered by the Motus — offshore isles afloat in a turquoise paradise. There’s no better way to come to know Bora Bora than by spending time with our family at Vavau 4×4 Adventures. Come enjoy the beauty of our island home. Ia Orana!

Vavau Adventures, and our guide Franck, really represent good value with their Bora Bora tour. If you are at all interested in WWII history and how the South Pacific figured in it, try to get on Franck's tour. As part of the standard tour, he takes you to a cannon site (not recommended to drive yourself!) which offers excellent photo... More

Many of the recent reviews capture the essence of the tour accurately. What made this a unique and fun experience for us was definitely our guide, Rapa Nui. Like so many of the the locals we met in Bora Bora, he has a sunny personality which is both endearing and engaging. There was great pride in sharing his knowledge of... More

Our tour guide was Juliano. He was friendly, informative, and funny! Going on one of these tours offers a great way to see the island from vantage points that you can't access otherwise. I definitely recommend!

We had a day where there was a bit of a swell in the water so we decided to go on land instead and we weren't disappointed. Frankie was our guide and he picked us up from the hotel after lunch ( which was great that it was afternoon as we don't like to get up early on holiday.) We... More

If you're going to book one tour to get to know the island of Bora Bora, this is the one! Franckie was our driver, he was knowledgable, informative, and hilarious! We had many great laughs. He drove us around the whole island, and we also went up 2 mountain roads to take in the nice views and WWII relics. Because... More

4X4 island tour: 1/2 day is plenty. Lot of driving with roadside stops to see how a coconut is split, or look at tropical fruit trees, or WWII gun emplacement, scenic viewpoint photo op, history of the island, and stop at local small family shop to buy stuff (not any cheaper than anyplace else) or at one of the pearl... Our family of 9 (ages 10-70) took a fun and informative 4x4 adventure, led by Django. The 3 hour trip took us up steep hills to beautiful views, gave us a much better understanding of the history, customs and lifestyle of the Tahitian people. We even got a fun lesson on how to peel, open, shred and get the milk... More

We just went on a tour and Rapa Nui was our driver. We had such a great time touring the island and learning about the history and people from Bora Bora. We saw beautiful views overlooking the lagoon, the cannons on the island, and the city. We would definitely recommend this tour.

maybe we expected too much but the promo was that we would drive down lush pathways and discover the legends of the Island and view its flora and fauna. About 20% of the tour appeared to be logistics of delivering others to their tour buses and also waiting around to have others delivered to us to make up our party.... More
