Our off-road vehicles are comfortable and safe, and will transport you to Bora Bora’s most secluded spots. Experienced multi-lingual guides share stories of our island’s history from ancient legends of Polynesian gods and chiefs to the lure of Hollywood filmmakers and seafaring adventure seekers. Historic World War II canons remind of us the social and economic impacts, and international influences on our island home. Stroll along Matira’s sunny shore, voted as one of the world’s top ten beaches by Tripadvisor. Enjoy the cool breezes at Bora Bora’s highest vantage points and marvel at the world renown lagoon bordered by the Motus — offshore isles afloat in a turquoise paradise. There’s no better way to come to know Bora Bora than by spending time with our family at Vavau 4×4 Adventures. Come enjoy the beauty of our island home. Ia Orana! « less

From looking at reviews, I think it is luck of the draw as to who your guide is for the day with Vavau as to whether you will have a great time. The fact is that there is not a lot to the island of Bora Bora aside from the stunning views at various vantage points, so the fun of... More

We really had a great time doing this tour with our guide Joseph who was amazing. We got to know better the Vetaipe island and its history and the culture of people living there. Our guide took us to the best spots offering breath taking view of Bora Bora lagoon. Joseph helped us to take great pictures. Highly recommend the... More

Having previously done the 4x4 tour with Tupuna on two occasions, this one was disappointing. We had Juliano as a driver/guide and although he was friendly and knowledgeable, he made the experience a little boring and I found him quite patronising at times. With Tupuna the entire tour was energetic and fun. The scenic points visited with Vavau cannot compare... More

Ia Ora Na WolvesBlue, First of all I want to apologize for your negative experience on our tour. We do have a bit different format than our competitor. We have made our roads a bit shorter so that our guest don't have to go trough some of the backbreaking trails that our competitors take them on. We have taken your... More

Joseph told us a lot about the history of French Polynesia and Bora Bora while thrilling us going up sketchy roads into the mountains to see incredible views of this amazing island. Joseph is a lot of fun, great guide!

My husband and I did the 4x4 island tour with Hiro. We saw the best sights on the Island, Hiro provided cultural background for all the locations, we stopped to see how to make and tie pareos and we stopped at a local stand where he provided us with fresh coconut juice and to try local fruits. This tour was... More

We did a tour of the island of Bora Bora. The tour circled the island, took us to some scenic points, visited a canon that was deployed there in WW2, and ended by taking us a place where they demonstrated how a pareo was made using traditional methods. It isn't akin to an African safari with wild animals, and though... More

Hiro not only showed us the best views of the island but provided a touching cultural background to lots of the sights. Best tour guide of the island! We had done an other 4x4 tour on the island of Moorea but this one really topped it. Merci Hiro! - de tes amis canadiens Marie-Ève et Mathieu

We booked this 4x4 excursion through our Hilton hotel and would book it again. Our friendly and funny guide George "of the Jungle" had great knowledge of the island's history and demonstrated the medicinal value of the native plants. We visited the hilltop US cannons placed during WWII, circled the island, visited a local family pareo/sarong business--made a pareo too,... More

We picked this tour based on TA reviews and it was a great one. This is a great way to spend a morning and see the land-side of Bora Bora, learn some of it's history and get some great elevated photo opportunities. There is no way that you could get a rental car or scooter up any of the hills... More

This was the highlight of our Honeymoon trip in Bora Bora. They were very accommodating in picking us up in town after deciding to do a little shopping as well as dropping us off at Bloody Mary's for dinner afterwards. We were lucky enough to be the only people on the tour that night which made it even more romantic.... More
