Took this trip while in Talkeetna. Dennis was our guide and the son of the family that moved to Alaska in the 1950's. A great tour and adventure. A must do. The trip is taken with all terrain vehicles through the Alaskan bush. You will see an authentic historic homestead. It was a moving & humbling experience. You will hear... More

This ATV tour combined the fun of riding an ATV with the history of Talkeetna, an exploration of the trails away from the pavement, sightings of bear tracks and the best lunch ever. Dennis is an excellent host with plenty of patience and a great rapport with kids and adults alike. It rained all day we were there and it... More

All of the excellent reviews are 100% accurate. We spent close to 6 hours with Dennis and his very friendly dog. It was a fabulous way to become acquainted with the real Alaska. Dennis is a great story teller and went above and beyond to customize the tour to meet our preferences. Riding on the ATV's was a blast. His... More

I would like to recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a real feel of Alaskan life. Dennis, the tour guide, came with his family to Alaska as homesteaders. He has many wonderful stories of their journey and settlement and also stories of the town of Talkeetna in the early days. The ATV ride was fun.. ..Through beautiful countryside... More

We started with a brief tour around town with some interesting and entertaining stories, them went into the Wilderness where he proceeded to take us to his own homestead where he moved to Alaska, he then took us to his own cabin, where he lives today, and ate with us at his own table, he then led us down to... If you want a unique Alaskan Adventure, you've got to experience this tour. The owner and your guide is Denis. Denis has a gripping story of what he and his family endured to stake a claim of the 49th state in 1959. You will learn about murders, rumors and adventures of the Talkeetna community. Eventually you will ATV down paths... More

Quick ATV tour and talk around town with Dennis, very informative, then over the train bridge (side bridge for ATV's) 6 miles up the tracks and a mile into Camp. Nice clearing, nice lawn, pretty stream, great house and loft for all 12 of us for two nights. The boys (14- 22) had a blast. Lovely lady to help us... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Dennis. This is great way to see the Talkeetna area. We decided to do our tour of his Homestead on ATVs and it was great fun for my husband, our two teenagers and me. Dennis took us thru Talkeetna before we went out to his Homestead. He showed us the home that he helped... More

Absolutely fabulous! What a unique way to see Alaska - very different than most tours. Our tour guide, Dennis, is an Alaskan pioneer who homesteaded in the Talkeetna area in 1959. His stories were fascinating and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at his cabin on the homestead.

The owners family has been in the area since 1960's. Make arrangements to go to the cabin in the woods. It is a great adventure.
