We just loved the dogs, their eagerness to run, their cleanliness. Sixty dogs live there and there is no smell and I saw no dog poop! You get into a jeep and it is helping the dogs of course. But they just love to run. It is a path through the woods and I loved the experience. Afterwards they let... More

Kinda lame, but very interesting. Jerry does a nice job of explaining his craft and the sport. He has a large kennel and the dogs all seem happy and cared for. Amazing to see them want to run. Worth the visit - you get a pull on a large ATV which no way would resemble a sled ride - but... More

This was our son's favorite excursion on our recent cruise-land tour of Alaska. After reading the negative reviews, we were concerned, but we quickly discovered that those negative reviews were unjust. The owners were friendly but real; let's face it, they've chosen to live in a remote area of Alaska, so they aren't gushing with fake customer-service. The dogs were... More

We want to thank you Jerry, for helping us set up our fishing trip in July 2013. It was a trip of a lifetime! We really enjoyed all you did for us. Our fishing was awesome! Your guys taught us how to fly fish and a few tricks on river fishing. Your wife cooked our catch for us at your... More

I wanted to dogsled, but of course no snow, but the motorised vehicle was fine, i know the dogs are not pulling it, but they certainly have to run (even to keep out of the way) and they knew the way to go. We had Gerry's wife telling us all about the race, and the preparation she does for meals... More

Daughter wanted to do two Dogsled excursions, both a kennel visit with puppies and a helicopter ride to dogsled on snow. We only did the first one this trip but enjoyed it very much. There were about 12 people on our trip. Gerry had a very dry wit but my Husband was cracking up. Gerry totally got me with one... More

We were very satisfied with our experience. Jerry Sousa is clearly more comfortable with animals than with people, But once you understand that, you are getting a very real experience with a an actual Iditerod racer where he lives, with his dogs. And that's what we wanted. It's not a Disney experience in any way, shape or form. It's not... More

Avoid at all costs, nothing authentic about it- the woman running the place seemed bothered by our presence and looked like she'd rather watch paint dry, plus I think those dogs are abused- she was dragging them to be attached to the other dogs despite some of them whimpering and in obvious discomfort, not to mention she told us without... If you're looking for a Disney-type ride where Balto jumps up and gives your kid a kiss, this isn't for you. If you want to see real working dogs and build understanding of an unfamiliar sport and lifestyle, this couldn't be better. Keeping quiet, watching and listening really enhanced the experience.

Imagine the thrill of riding in a jeep behind a team of dogs. I wasn't sure if the dogs were running away from the jeep or if they actually thought thy were pulling the jeep but either way it was pretty lame. Want to make it better? Have the jeep driven by a champion Iditarod musher who will answer every... More
