We visited Caroline Bay every day of our week long stay in Timaru because it was just so nice to walk around whether we were on the boardwalk or on the sand by the water. We even went for a jog one morning and tried out the fitness circuit that follows around the perimeter of the park. We just loved... More

Beautiful beach for a peaceful stroll in the surf. Stunning views across the sea with the snowy mountains in the distance too. It's awesome having the boardwalk along the beach for those days when you don't want sand everywhere but want to walk near the seaside!

This is the best beach and fun play ground in all of New Zealand. We have an amazing summer carnival, lots of first class entertainment and music every New Year. A safe beach for swimming kite surfing boating and fishing, not to mention a sandy beach where you can walk your dog in the winter. Easy access for elderly or... More

Spent many a happy hour here. Grandson loves showing us the birds, working his skate board and running around. The carnival was special lots of live bands, plenty of amusements for the children. I love walking the beach. Lovely clean amenities great place to chill out. We also walked the board-walk with two of our daughters it was fun.

A wonderful beach and walkway - on a Sunday morning locals who own a small dog meet on the beach. It is right near the port of Timaru and worth the drive around to enjoy the area
