We have just spent the most fantastic six days cycling and canoeing from Mt Ruapehu to Whanganui. Darren and Jane of Mountain Bike Station made the whole trip that much better. They organised all accommodation, transported our gear each day and gave us maps and information about our travels for the day, suggested what we should visit etc. Their knowledge... More

The owners are the most fabulous and accommodating. We arrived later than expected in Ohakune but Jane was there waiting for us when we finally made it. We chose the ride down Mt Ruapehu starting at 1600m. Jane drove us up the mountain and gave us lots of information about the area, Lord of the Rings filming sites, and an... More

I have just had the most fantastic five days of mountain biking the Mountain to Sea bike track. Starting at Ohakune and finishing at Whanganui. Many thanks to Darren and Jane who had organised our accommodation and transported our luggage. I think the ride was made even better because of Darrens knowledge of the tracks and their history and by... More

This trip was great from start to finish. Darren and Jane were fabulous with lots of special little unespected extras thrown in. The places we stayed at were all fantastic, especially the Flying Fox Lodge. Fantastic scenery, warm and friendly people, great food and great trails to ride and experience. Would reccommend this adventure for all, even those with not... More

It's a healthy and exhilarating way to take a holiday break. The bikes are really well maintained and easy to ride. The service helpful and friendly. I wished I had bike pants. Sore bottom after a couple of days. Have e transfers included excellent.

This was a great way of experiencing the Old Coach route. We were transported with the rented bikes to the start of our trail and there was lots of history boards to give information. The views change constantly. Some of the trail is quite challenging and a less experienced cyclist might have to get off and push for a very... More

Five days spent cycling from the "mountain to the sea" where because of the help and support of Darren and Jane all we had to do was enjoy the physical exercise, scenery and sense of adventure during the day and then in the evening eat a lovely dinner and relax with a glass of wine. Darren and Jane could not... More

Awesome 5 days spent on the "mountain to sea" track that would not have been anything like the experience it was without the help of Jane and Darren at Station Lodge. These guys bent over backwards to ensure that our trip was a success in spite of unseasonal weather challenges. We originally thought that we could cobble an itinary together... More

Darren has great bikes for all types of people. He is a bike expert and full of knowledge! He is fussy and only has the best brands of bike available for hire. We hired bikes and ski gear and had absolutely no problems. Will be using Mountain Bike Station again, for sure.

My buddy and I arrived in Ohakune from Australia on a Sunday afternoon in late September. With a little warning, Darren was able to set up some racks on the back of two hard tails and then gave us accurate current weather, track conditions and local accommodation advice for our bike ride on the Mountains to Sea Cycleway. If it... More
