This is a very small mosque probably 60 Sqm. It is the oldest mosque in the U.A.E. It is like a 10 minute drive from Khorfakkan. At most you will spend 30 min I this place but it is ok to see. A pic of you the mosque and the watch tower is pretty nice.

With all those skyscrapers and record-breaking buildings in the neighbouring emirates, this structure located just before the Dibba highway going back to Fujairah proper is the UAE's one, true ground-breaking architectural pride.

It is very (too) close to the main road but still there is a very peaceful and spiritual atmosphere around this old mosque (dating back 600 years)..No minaret, just a soft, sand colour, round, almost feminine little building with narrow patio and an old tree beside.>>

Took a long drive from Dubai to the outskirts to Fujairah and visited the oldest mosque. The view from the top was stunning and you could even catch the sunset. The architecture of the mosque was well preserved. Definitely a place to visit!

The mosque is older than most structures you will see in the Emirates, and is still in use as a house of prayer to this day. It is worth a visit. Our trip coincided with a coachload of other tourists who correctly removed their footware before entering the holy place, but many of whose socks were not freshly-laundered, giving the... More

This entire visit shouldn't take more than 30-40 minutes. We came after visiting hours, but luckily it was prayer time so they opened the gate. We are Muslim so we were able to go inside and pray, my mother (who isn't Muslim) was also able to go in with me and take a look around. Afterwards, we walked up to... More

Al Bidyah Mosque is situated about 35km from Fujairah. It is tiny but very beautiful and definitely worth a trip out. It is open in the morning from 9 till 12, no entry charge. Ladies must dress modestly, hair, arms and legs covered or you will be asked to wear an abbeya by the caretaker. If you are feeling adventurous... More
