The mosque was believed to be built in 1446 AD, the mosque was built with mud and stone structure, The mosque is situated in the village of Al Badiyah in the emirates of Al Fujairah. The location is the most important vision, the highway passing in front of the mosque is leading to a panoramic view of sea and mountain.

Intriguing and definitely worth a visit. Could have been better signposted though as it's easy to whizz past it on the main road. The tour buses in the car park were the give-away!

You wouldn't go miles out of your way, but this was an interesting short stop to see the country's oldest mosque - very small but interestingly designed. There's also a small hill and tower right next to the mosque, from which you have good views of the surrounding area. Note that the mosque is only open for entry from 9... More

This is the oldest Mosque in the U.A.E. It costs nothing to visit there. Ladies must be appropriately dressed in full black dress with long sleeves and head covered by black veil. All the clothes are provided free of charge and it is interesting to visit here.

Small mosque but interesting to see this old building. Surroundings are beautiful gardens and 2 forts on hill. Women are allowed in and given cloth to cover hair. Doesn't cost to enter mosque or forts!

This was the last stop on our half day bus tour and we arrived just as the mosque was closed to visitors. I suppose it would have been unpleasant to have several hundred tourists traipsing through the small structure at the same time. It was smaller than the "rock mosque" we visited in Capadoccia but is the oldest in the... More
