Boat trips are readily available from an hour to a full day and are very good value following a bit of haggling. The lake is very peaceful and serene with good birdlife and the odd turtle. Not a bad way to unwind and while away the day with good food and the odd drink.

A beautiful lake! We jumped from the boat into the water which was a deep green. You could feel the minerals in the water doing you good - very therapeutic and energising!

Great place for a roadside picnic! The mosquitoes make their presence known in the evening, but it is a great place for a sunset snapshot.

Felt like I was actually on the set of African Queen. Loved the scenery. Excellent wildlife photography and had a lovely swim and snorkle session. Lake was clear and water was not at all salty, that was unexpected. Boat guide was very informative.

This lake is passed when you go to Iztuzu Beach in the dolmus. It's a beautiful lake, and my favourite time is on the way back from the beach, late afternoon, when the sun catches the surface and sparkles wonderfully. My favourite part of the journey!

Floated across and swam in it. What more is there to say! A great place to stargaze from a boat and you may see a shooting star or two.

I really enjoyed our trip to the lake. The water is warm and it is a fresh water lake that is created from three rivers combining, so no salt! One of my favourite days of this holiday!

we took a boat trip form the hotel at 6.30 am to feed the nile turtles and ended up at the lake and a sulphur hot spring - absolutely unforgettable - truly magical

Went for a quick dip in this lake as part of one of the Jeep Safaris. Relatively clean water despite the stillness. Lovely surrounds and a great pit stop to cool off from the mid-day sun. Plenty of birdlife about too.
