It is hard to review a lake when all there is a lake and landscape around it. Difficult to rave about the facilities. I can say that I had a lovely cycle ride there from Dalyan and spent happy couple of hours enjoying the view and taking some photographs. In previous years I have travelled past the lake many times... More

Sulunger lake (not to be confused with much larger Köyceğiz lake where swimming is possible ) This is the beautiful lake you pass on the road to Iztuzu beach just before you ascend the steep mountain road to the sea. There are picnic tables very close to the road, frequented by the local goat herd. If you fancy a drink... More

A few hours on this lake is like being in the middle of a watercolour painting. You are surrounded by lovely hills for as far as the eye can see. The water is warm - there are loads of hot springs - and there are turtles, fish and kingfishers . Take a trip with the Boat Corperation and have lunch... More

This was as far as Carol would go by bike - it's flat all the way from Dalyan - after Sulungur the big hill starts on the way to Iztuzu. Stopped at lakeside café/bar. Broke plastic chair when I sat on it. Excellent pomegranate juice and very forgiving service!

This is the lake next to the beach where you come in by dolmus. Its really beautiful and tranquil and we walked almost all the way around it while we were waiting for the turtle sanctuary to open. The turtle sanctuary was also a worthwhile visit.
