I only spent an afternoon in Sighisoara but this gave me enough time to see the clock tower which is a lovely old building standing ontop of the citadel hill, and also the building where Vlad Dracul was born and lived for a short period of time. We visited Sighisoara in April of 2008. The weather was perfect. We stayed at Casa Cu Cerb. Prince Charles had stayed there in 2002 and was instrumental in getting the city onto the Unesco registry. Sighisoara was the last stop on our excursion through Transylvania. This is where Mr. Vlad Dracula was born. Here we saw the house of Vlad (which is now a restaurant), and the infamous clock tower. These are two things you MUST not miss. The clock tower is 60 meters high and is a symbol for justice. Sighisoara is amazingly preserved... more
