It is the center of the old town of Sighisoara. From the outside it is nice to look at and inside your will see a small museum that will surprise you with things you weren't aware of.

Creaky stairs with neat exhibits on each floor open up to the wrap-around platform at the top. There is a great view of the city!! We were there very very early and were told we were very lucky because usually it is so packed that they have to have people directing traffic on the stairs. So get there early to... More

From the Clock Tower you can get your best pictures and the best view of the city. It is a must and probably the biggest attraction.

The clock tower is Sighisoara's most recognisable building. It is worth climbing to the top of this 14th C tower to see the wonderfully preserved medieval town laid out before you. Entry is 10 Lei and they are very strict about taking photos inside. I sneaked a couple. Inside there is the history museum with a model of the town,... More

Yes it is a hike to the top but each floor has exhibits and you are under no pressure to hurry. Some of the staircases are one way and will require you to wait but go early (it opens at 1000) and there will be less people to deal with. I didn't pay the excessive camera fee of AUD10 on... More

Interesting museum of objects from medieval times on the way up to the top of the clock tower. Great views of the entire historic center of Sighisoara. A definite must-do while in Sighisoara!

We enjoyed looking around this tower. it had some really random things in it like surgical instruments! the view from the top was great. Photo fee is expensive and if you break the rules you have to pay about £500! however taking photos from the top and not inside the tower was OK according to our guide.

The view is beautiful, the historic building is moving, the museum is eclectic and not too organized - but don't miss going up the stairs if you are around. It will not take too long and you will not regret it.

The museum may seem disorganised at first but after one or two stair levels it shows masterpieces from the different corporations (or guilds) that governed the city end its people in medieval times. It is really worth the visit. You can't take pictures except if you pay 30lei but you can take pictures from the top (at least I think... More
