Interesting collection of artifacts! I especially liked some of the random everyday items (medical instruments, cooking tools) that have really come a long way! And perhaps I am more impressed coming from the United States, as nothing here is really that old, and I can see why some might think the relics are not that impressive. I was impressed and... More

The Clock Tower is the most important objective in Sighisoara. There is lot of history and knowledge in that tower, and lot of distraction, too. Enjoy!

On the way to the top of the clock tower, we passed through the history museums. You can see some interesting artifacts, but not something extraordinary. The main attraction remains the view from the top.

Several floors of historic items including the inside workings of the clock in the tower. Gives and interesting insight into old time Romania.

the view from the top is rewarding but not much else...the rest is creaky floors and a bunch of old stuff which I didn't find too interesting.

If you are taking a trip to Sighisoara you must go visit the small rooms inside the museum. You can see the evolution of crafts in Transylvania, ethnographic artefacts, furniture, medical instruments, fine arts and a collection of clocks. :)

The history museum is inside Sighisoara Clock Tower. Entry is 5 Lei and it is open 10am-3.30pm. They are pretty strict about taking any photos inside the museum. On the first floor there is a great model of the city as it was in 1735, this shows the covered stairway leading to the church on the hill. It is handy... More

...meaning more information and more artifacts to be presented, yet given the fact that the history museum is actually enclosed in the Clock Tower - makes it unique in itself and an attraction worthy of visiting and paying attention to the historical facts, of course, not just passing by.

This museum is in the various levels going up the clock tower. Don't miss the cool hatter ad from wayback, featuring dozens of tiny hats, or the many guild insignias and pictures of their different towers in the town. The gingerbread presses were something I hadn't seen before and the workings and figurines of the famous clock are pretty cool... More
