I lived there for one year and studied Chinese. Nankai looke like a park with 2 little pods and full of flowers and greenery, and generally a pleasant place to pass a little time. The atmospere is really pieceful. After walking around you can go to student's dining hall to enjoy Chinese food. It's super cheap and portions are really... More

I mean, it's a University. There are pretty cool buildings to see and they have a track to use. The landscaping is beautifully done and is a great place to sit down and have some peace.

If you're in Tianjin, and you've nothing better to do, you could do worse than stroll around this campus for a bit - in Spring. Then it's alive, full of flowers and greenery, and generally a pleasant place to pass a little time. The rest of the year, it's either so humid you feel as if you're walking through soup,... More

If you find yourself stuck in Tianjin for business and the weather is nice, coming here and relaxing is one of the better things to do in the city. Very green in spring/summer. Since there are young people, you might even be able to strike up a conversation with some strangers in English.

It is just a university campus, no signage or information, so not of much interest other than a stroll around the lake in Summer - it is decidedly grim in winter. There is actually a fair bit of history about the university, however it is not so easy to dig up. Best find a knowledgeable local to guide you if... More

Went to the University for a walk and some photoshoot. The unviersity is huge, spaceious and has plenty of greenery, you can enjoy the tranquil environment, eg.. no car horning non stop in the street. You can have a good meal in their canteen. Plenty of varierties. There is an internal shuttle bus that bring your from the east gate... More

This is a functional utility of the city and nothing more. The campus is average at best and does not compare with other international university campuses. You will see most of the favorable ratings are students themselves at the campus or visiting students at the campus and not really tourists. To come to China and make this a stop on... More
