I was hoping for a jovial Merry Christmas greeting, even if Santa wasn't there. I got some bored looking employees who were just north of "sullen". I know it is off-season, and a Monday morning, too, but could we have just a little more of that Ho! Ho! Ho! spirit, please?

Santa's House is quite an extensive store. Naturally, there's lots of Christmas ornaments, Christmas apparel, and clothing with "North Pole Alaska" emblazoned on them. I bought cute t-shirts for my nieces and nephews - dark green with "Dear Santa I Can Explain" lettering. Be aware - prices are high, but you may score a deal on a sale. Some merchandise... More

Really cool store much nicer than I thought it would be. Thought it would be full of junk but had some great stuff. Got a few things to give out this coming season.

We were driving down from Fairbanks to Glennallen and stopped in town. If you love Christmas and decorations, you certainly won't be disappointed. This town is like Christmas all year long, decorations all through town, including the golden arches. Santa Claus House is chock full of all types of Christmas items for every budget. We bought numerous Christmas (Alaskan) ornaments... More

A large Christmas themed store, lots of selection of both Christmas and Alaska items. Unfortunately most everything in the store is made in China or somewhere else very far from the North Pole or even the USA. Very polite and friendly staff. Reminded us of Bronners in Michigan. A nice place to stop and have a look at, but mostly... More

While staying in Fairbanks, we were 17 miles away from the North Pole, we just had to go! It was beautiful! So many ornaments that you wouldn't find anywhere else! It was delightful! Santa was still on vacation, so we didn't see him and they were getting the field by the parking lot ready for Reindeer Training School, it was... More

Okay..... I admit it, I went! While I was staying in Fairbanks I made the 35 minute drive and went to North Pole Alaska and visited the Santa Claus House! I actually had a nice time and even though it was kitschy it was a really nice experience. Yes, it's a tourist trap but the prices are not horrible on... More

So if you are a Xmas nut job, and love everything Xmas, this place is for you. All kinds of crap loaded into this place. Made in China. Pretty pricey. It was fun to visit once, and they have a few reindeer out on the leftside of the building.

Overall, I enjoyed my visit here. While inside, I felt like it actually was Christmas, but how could you not? There is Christmas music playing and nothing but Christmas everywhere! There are a LOT of things that are over-priced, but there are other things that won't cost an arm and leg. There is everything from Christmas bulbs/ornaments to t-shirts to... More
