I went the the "locals" show before the tourist season really began. I bundled up because the rain had been coming down off and on all day. When I got there I was very suprised at how full the parking lot was. Walking in the first thing I noticed was that they had heaters going!!! And even though we had... More

Great show, and educational too. Being a lumberjack takes a lot more strength & talent than I could have imagined. More

The "lumberjacks" are not lumberjacks at all. Real lumberjacks are desperately trying to find work around here as the timber industry declines and their jobs disappear. That being said, the young men who perform in the show are top-notch athletes and the audience seems to enjoy watching them. The schtick is American Vs. Canadian lumberjack teams; the audience is divided... More

Gives the realistic feel of an actual Lumberjack camp with all the Hoopla and contests amongst the jacks. Very fun and the audience really gets into the show. Very family friendly show More

Exciting, educational, interactive, and crazy good fun. This is always out favorite activity in Ketchikan. They have covered, heated seating, and professional lumberjacks log rolling, climbing, throwing axes, chopping, sawing, and just giving the best show we've experienced in Alaska. Don't miss this one! Went with my husband expecting to see an actual competition, realized 5min in it was pretty staged and would be more enjoyable if were kids or had a few kids of our own, not thirtysomething newlyweds... More

Probably very fun for kids. Quite cheese for adults. We were looking for some real lumberjacks, not some kids playing with saws. More

My husband and I attended the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show (GALS) in Ketchikan the first week of Sept 2011 while on an Alaskan cruise with Carnival. We didn't have any plans while in Ketchikan and the first thing we came upon after leaving the ship was the GALS. The price of admission was $36 for adults and the show lasted... More

I was in Ketchikan for a week long vacation and made sure I had time blocked out to see the show. I was so glad I did. It felt great to let loose, have fun and be a little silly. The show is very interactive with the audience and the host Tennessee Lee was great as were the Lumberjacks! It... More
