Josh could not have been a better captain. Went fishing on 8-24-14. He put us on fish immediately and stayed on them for the full four hours. Boated 18 total and released maybe 8 more. Ivy's (Josh's Wife) homemade cookies were great . It was an experience of a lifetime. Eagles even tried to steal a Rockfish right off the... More

If you're searching for a first class experience, book with Salty Sea Charters. Ivy and Josh are customer oriented and work hard to provide you the best experience. We just did a salmon halibut charter on August 30. Between my son, son-in-law and myself we landed 15 silvers, 2 halibut and 9 cod. Josh did everything in his power to... More

We had a salmon fishing trip with Salty Sea Charters on August 10th during our Solstice Cruise. Except for the weather it couldn't have gone any better. We could see Josh and his boat from our balconies and once we confirmed it was him initiated a wave and called his name. It was nice to get an aerial shot of... More

Josh was awesome. He really worked hard to put us on fish. We went out on Aug 4. Final tally: 1 king, 12 silvers, 9 pinks, and a rock cod. The day started with Josh at the bottom of the boat ramp and we were off within minutes since he parked his boat nearby. First spot, about 30 minutes away,... More

Even if the fishing had been slow captain Josh is excellent and the fishing wasn't slow so all six aboard caught many salmon and had a fine time. The captain strives hard to help all, even the inexperienced with quick advice and counsel. You cant go wrong here.

My husband and I and our 2 teen age boys went out Fishing with Josh on July 10, 2014. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day or for a better experience. Josh was there to meet us when the cruise ship docked and it was only a short walk to his boat. We were on our way within... More

Our family did a little fishing with Josh. Well, not a little, some really big stuff! I can't say enough about Josh and his operation (wife, Ivy, working behind the scenes). He took so much care to make sure we had the time of our life....and we did. From greeting us as we got off the ship to the time... More

Salty sea charter is the best around josh was best family guy and guide a person could ever ask for he was a hard worker and wanted everyone in the boat to catch a big fish or at least something. He made our trip very memorable if you don't use him it would be a mistake!!

All my life I've looked forward to fishing in Alaska. I am so glad I did the research to find Josh. He was the best Captain and the Salty Sea is the best boat - perfectly suited to an excellent fishing experience. Wind and rain didn't stop us from having the time of our lives. Thank You Josh!

Our charter with Josh and his boat was originally for a half day of halibut fishing. We were able to complete our quota within several hours and had enough time to catch some salmon as well. Josh was great and courteous. He and Ivy are top-notch and we are going back in May of 2015 and looking to book with... More
