We are two couples. My wife and I have fished before but the other couple hadn't. Our friends were very excited to have an opportunity like this to go out on our own boat. We chartered with Captain Josh on May 28,2015 for a 4 hour trip. I wished we had done the entire day! Josh met us on time... More

We heard that the month of May was blessed with sunshine and warm weather in Alaska. Instead, we had the true Alaskan experience with wind, rain, and cold weather for our fishing charter on 06/07/15. We were met at the dock by Captain Josh as arranged and did a quick walk to the boat moored nearby. As we cruised out... More

As a long time fisherman, and past head boat captain myself. You can see Josh knows his stuff. We booked a trip for the last week of May for Halibut, with an even mix of guys and gals. We limited out on Halibut (plus a throw back) and had about 10 Cod and some Rockfish. Josh met us right at... More

It was a real pleasure to spend the day fishing with Captain Josh. We booked our charter on Salty Sea with Josh for our day in Ketchikan. I really wanted to catch a fresh king salmon while in Alaska because I love salmon. I was shopped out and fishing was a great way to spend the day in our last... More

Josh met us at the pier as we disembarked from the cruise ship. Everything was as described online and in his e-mail. We had beautiful weather, an immaculate boat and gorgeous scenery. A little early in the season for the king salmon run. But we caught two very nice halibut and a great king salmon. It was a fabulous experience... More

This was our second experience with Captain Josh. As before, Josh was ready, willing, and able to do everything to maximize our day of fishing. This time we did the 6-hour halibut/salmon trip. We pay more to have the boat to ourselves and it is worth every penny. We caught 50 pounds of fish and had an absolutely fabulous day... More

Amazing day on the water. Captain Josh is a true professional. The boat was in pristine condition, the equipment was well taken care off and there was an ample supply of fresh baked cookies. We caught our limit of halibut and even managed to get a Ling Cod. All our halibut was dropped off at the processor, filleted, frozen, and... More

Salty Sea had great reviews on Trip Advisor and were one of three different charter companies we emailed last December. They were the only charter company to get back to us within a day or two - one of the other three got back within a month; the other didn't get back to us until a couple of days before... More

We had a great time fishing with Capt. Josh. He met us at the dock just as we disembarked the cruise ship. He took care of EVERYTHING, from fishing license to snacks, to setting-up the fishing gear. We stayed on the water for the full four hours. The weather was cold and wet, and the water was choppy, but that... More
