We booked this excursion in advance, knowing that the best ones sell out. We weren't disappointed. Jim was our pilot, and he was great. A good combination of information, personal stories and quiet flight to enjoy the awesome scenery. Landed on a remote lake in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by mountains. Got out and walked around a bit.... More

Misty Fjords is one of my favorite places in Southeast Alaska. I try to go there every year. The scenery in Misty Fjords is unlike anything else in Southeast. The area is remote, unspoiled, undeveloped, and mostly unvisited. Waterfalls cascade off mountaintop lakes, seemingly straight down into the Sound below. Although the scenery is beautiful from the Sound below, there... More

We booked this tour independent from our cruise ship. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 kids. We were lucky that the flight was not booked out, so we ended up with a private plane flight! It was simply amazing! Our pilot, Josh, was great! He was very knowledge, but didn't talk too much, he let us enjoy... More

We went in June of 2014 and booked this trip independent of the cruise line. The people that own Misty Fjords Air are very nice and the pilot was a skilled and experienced pilot. Great ride, beautiful scenery and probably our best excursion. The DeHavalland planes are very stable and safe.

We will never forget this tour. Our pilot landed in a remote lake and let us walk around a bit in the back country. He told us there were cabins on the lake with no amenities. They dropped folks off and came back a week later to pick them up. We were not that brave. You have to do this... More

Misty rain when we first took off but this cleared in minutes & had sunshine all the way. Landed on a fjord and disembarked onto a floating pontoon, the stillness was awe inspiring! Felt like you were the only people on earth! Each seat had a window so gave you the best views ever! Definitely worth the money & a... More

This was by far our favorite excursion that we did while on our cruise to Alaska. The pilot was great at pointing out the mountain goats that were scattered throughout the beautiful landscape! Very cool!

I was lucky enough to fly in the co-pilot seat. Had a great time sitting up front. The flight was great. Dave was the pilot. He has been flying for around 16 years. We had perfect weather. Landed on a lake up in the mountains. Perfect landing. Took pictures with the pilot while we were docked at a platform in... More

Thanks to all of the staff at Misty Fjords Air for an outstanding experience. My wife had a great flight . At first the weather wasn't cooperating and it didn't look good for the flight, but alas the weather broke and off we went. Megan was awesome with keeping us up to date on the conditions and made it possible... More

This was THE BEST thing I did on my Alaska cruise shore excursion in Ketchikan! I wanted to do this so much - the Alaska cruise AND the Seaplane - and I wasn't one bit afraid to do it, and hope you won't be either. Like others, we booked this flight months in advance directly with Misty Fjords and received... More
