The single most important thing with a small Alaska aircraft is feeling safe and secure. James, our pilot on summer and most recently a winter flight to Prince of Wales Island is part of a safety first flight team. I've flown with them out of Ketchikan to Craig and Thorne Bay POW as well as Anan Bear Sanctuary and Misty... More

This is a stunning part of the world, with breathtaking scenery, a truly wonderful area, the plane we flew in was a 6 seater float plane, there were only 5 of us & it was cramped it would only suit 6 quite slim people, the pilot was very informative, we even landed on the lake to appreciate the full enormity... We took this tour off a cruise boat to Ketchikan and it was the best thing we did on our whole trip. The scenery was fantastic, the pilot (Nick?) skilled and knowledgeable, and most of all, he calmed my daughter, who was really scared at the beginning, but a huge fan at the end. Outstanding day! Thanks, Nick

My friend recommended this flight, and said it made her weep. I didn't weep, but it was beautiful and an adventure. The day was overcast, so it was grey, greens and the black of the water that we saw. The pilot landed us on a rock in the middle of a lake! The plane was quite nice and safe. The... More

This compapny was recommended to us by friends who had used them on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago. It was the highlight of our Alaska trip which included a land tour to Denali. Our flight was on their smallest plane fondly known as the "Hot Rod". In addition, our pilot was the original founder/owner of Misty Fjords Air.... More

Our experience was first rate from the on-line booking to the flight. Megan was quick to answer our email questions, and our flight was awesome. What a fantastic experience!

Our early morning seaplane trip with another company was cancelled due to bad weather. Misty was able to schedule us on a later flight and saved the day for us. Everyone we came in contact with was great and the pilot Jim gave us a great flight! I highly recommend this company!

My flight aboard a Misty Fjords Air Otter was a highlight of my Alaska trip. Our pilot Luke skillfully and safely guided our plane on a superb flight over a portion of the 2.3 million acre Misty Fjords National Monument. We made a spectacular landing on a scenic lake deep in the Fjords. On the ground and in the air,... More

Our trip with Misty Fjords Air was amazing. The Misty's by air are not to be missed, and Misty Fjords Air made it that much better. We were picked up at the visitor center and driven to the dock by a very nice, very friendly gentleman. Once at the dock, we promptly boarded the seaplane. The plane was comfortable and... More

This is a complex review that 4 dots does not really fit. If you want to visit the Misty Fjords, this company does an amazing job. Planes are in excellent condition and you will feel well taken care of. You can book on line (select flight time) and buy seats per person so very reasonable pricing relatively speaking. They picked... More
